in his first hour of international test cricket sam konstas has ramped bumrah thrice, gotten siraj jawing at him, and stirred up kohli enough to have the man bodily shoulder him. now he's scored 18 off a bumrah over and is actively revving the crowd. god this rules #AUSvIND

This really is one of the most amazing things I've seen in 50-plus years of watching Test. Totally thrilling. Good on the kid! #AUSvsIND #AUSvIND #Konstas

Another woman killed, Boxing Day Man charged with murder over death of woman in Langwarrin

How am I only learning about Mitch Tambo in like the last 4 weeks! The guy is amazing.. ok I gotta be honest I do also enjoy hearing the English bits or the chorus in English but fmd he has an amazing voice..

This is actually funny. He’s only just figured this out? www.smh.com.au/politics/fed...

Might it be possible that after 14 months of what has credibly been called a genocide, perpetrated by a man currently wanted for war crimes and crimes against humanity, that maybe we don’t begin headlines with what that particular man claims.

Heads-up! The very talented journalist @paulbongiorno.bsky.social has joined #BlueSky! Columnist for the Saturday Paper and veteran political commentator. He deserves a very warm welcome and lots of follows! #JournalismMatters

My one constructive criticism on BlueSky, as a community: we need to “like” less and “retweet” more. In the absence of an algorithm, that’s the way we find each other and reward good content.

Does anyone else find it hard to search people on here? I often find that people are not searchable by their names. And I often will miss that they are following me. Anyway, it is one thing about this platform I find a bit harder. Maybe I am doing it wrong.

#AFLW waiting for tonights game

Looking forward to watching the last 4 days of the 5 day test this afternoon.

I’m listening to Rick Morton’s Mean Streak - it’s about Robodebt saga. It’s a true crime thriller where we all know who the perps are. Honestly, Australians need to see some consequences from this mendacious cruel policy assault on hundreds of thousands of vulnerable people. We are owed that much!

“You can’t trust big tech, that’s why you should give them a copy of your ID” says PM chaser.com.au/national/you...

I prefer an echo chamber where I yell HELLO and the echo comes back HELLO as opposed to yelling g HELLO and hearing back FUCK YOU..That us why I'm not on Twitter

The first test will be all over in two days at this rate

Congratulations Noah and Cody

Woweeeee what's going on?

What a beautiful Friday to get the summer of Test cricket underway! Can’t wait to get home and watch the first Test for hours, my favourite form of meditation #cricket #australia #india #test

Great start to #testcricket

I’m told Bill Shorten made a cracker valedictory speech in Parliament today. But I’m buggered if I can find any report of it. Canberra press gallery asleep at the wheel ?

#AFL Let's make Bluesky the Social media home of our great sport. If you support a Club follow or create an account for that Club, let's all cone together and enjoy our rivalries and that includes #AFLW

This is a farce and an insult to open government

If a Government is trying to rush a bill through Parliament, then odds are something fishy is going on. @amyremeikis.bsky.social explains just how the donation reform changes could reinforce the two-party system, and shut out independents and new parties. #auspol

The first night of the 2024 AFL draft saw Richmond officially begin its massive rebuild with a haul of six of the first 27 players selected. On FOOTYOLOGY, Ronny Lerner wraps up how it all unfolded. #footyology #AFLDraft

Continuing a great tradition

Here's hoping for a long and successful career for each of them

[spoiler alert] it’s 90 minutes of Uhlmann shaking his fist at wind turbines and solar panels

Fake doctor ABC's Mehmet Oz Fake wresting WWE's Linda McMahon Fake FOX News' Pete Hegseth A pattern is emerging.

I have noted this myself and it’s bloody annoying. “An audit reveals supermarkets are enticing customers to choose plastic-wrapped fruit and vegetables by charging less.” www.abc.net.au/news/rural/2...

Unity ticket. My @smh @theage cartoon.

A very highly placed member of the American Diplomatic Corps said to me, re Trump: "We have seen this movie before ... just never in English."

Labor (with enthusiastic agreement from the LNP) are selling Australians a big, bitter lemon. They are NOT making elections fairer They are DELIBERATELY making it MUCH harder for small parties and independents to get elected. This is actually harming democracy.

ICYMI: The gov & Coalition are on the cusp of passing legislation that will give the major parties 10s of millions of dollars more in funding - from the taxpayer. Annabel Crabb nails it: “We’re asking the public, in a cost of living crisis, to fund a narrowing of their choices.”
