Ohio State has over three thousand at the moment, representing around 6% of the student body. Congrats to all the American families who will get to pick up the tab now.

WHERE IS THE ACTION ON #METHANE? The lowest hanging fruit is going rotten🍏 This IEA report hits hard👊 "Energy-related #methane emissions have still not reached a definitive peak..

Capacity accreditation is deep and nerdy and super important. What happened last PJM auction cycle was an ironic shift: gas underperformed in winter storm Elliot, so PJM assigned much lower capacity values to gas - dropping from ~90% to %60%. Now we had less capacity, so prices shot up #EnergySky

Last night house republicans voted to: - Raise utility bills and energy prices across the board - Increase air pollution - Cut food stamps - Cut healthcare for millions - Cut gender-affirming care for millions - Cede technology leadership to China - Increase national debt and interest costs

While you were sleeping, House Republicans rammed through a bill that kills rooftop solar, clean manufacturing, heat pumps for everyday Americans, clean energy projects, and funding to cut pollution. Now it's up to the Senate to stop this bill from jacking up energy bills and torching the economy.

New: Not only would Trump’s “Big Beautiful Bill” ban gender-affirming care via Medicaid, it would ban insurance under the Obamacare exchanges from covering it as an essential health benefit www.independent.co.uk/news/world/a...

I am trying very hard not to break things right now after seeing the Secretary of DHS indicate she doesn’t understand a legal concept so essential to the principles of a free society it dates as far back as the MAGNA CARTA.

Hey, speaking of the importance of public utility regulators: here's a jobs board showing all the PUC positions open across the country. There's no better place to leverage positive change. We badly need good people in these spots! Tell your energy nerd friends to apply!

Last year, the United States sold more educational services to the rest of the world than it sold in natural gas and coal combined. wapo.st/4luJyph

A+ everyone

This is an obvious point, but cannot overstated. There is an enormous difference between deporting someone - where they get off a plane as a free citizen in their home country AND FUNNELING THEM INTO A BRUTAL PRISON FROM WHICH THEY HAVE NO CHANCE OF EVER EMERGING!!!

Attention: Musk’s staffers are now seeking access to a sensitive Medicare database as part of their crackdown on undocumented immigrants. DOGE was never about saving the U.S. money—it’s about building a government-run machine to weaponize personal data.

Bring back *everyone* who was sent from the U.S. to CECOT in El Salvador. *No one* should be sent there. ALL their rights were violated. ALL of them should come home.

My fieldwork researching energy policy in TX found the Texas Public Policy Foundation to be a repeated source of misinformation in state-level policy debates. They were also on Advisory Board of Project 2025. The idea that the nominee for the EIA Administrator has ties to them is deeply troubling.

We've seen videos like this before, but usually when you see a tearful wife pleading with the kidnappers who have taken her husband, she's not talking to the U.S. president

It certainly looks like Elon Musk’s henchmen stole all the data from the agency which protects workers rights, tried to cover it up, and then threatened to kill the guy who blew the whistle on it.

important context about the concentration camps in el salvador:

Helpful reminder. "Methane is the strongest lever we can quickly pull to reduce warming between now and 2050." — Drew Shindell, climate scientist at Duke University

Let’s see how Columbia’s capitulation is going. Oh.

markets soar as investors realize that mommy didn't actually disappear, she was just hiding behind her hands

Hard to overstate how lawless and also just fundamentally *untrustworthy* this country is, any promise we ever made anyone about anything turns out to have been fake www.nytimes.com/2025/04/08/u...

Let's be clear that this thing Trump just said about having no trade deficits with any country would be far more radical, more disruptive, and more expensive, than every single leftist dream you have ever heard put together, including Medicare for All, Guaranteed Housing, and Universal Basic Income.

Have reporters asked the White House IT Office if anyone is allowed to or if it's even possible to install signal on a WH govt phone? (it is not)

My grandparents were natural born German citizens. Until they weren't. I have copies of their documents, stamped "cancelled" by the government.

No different from Dachau. Or Auschwitz. Or Buchenwald. Or Tereizin. And so on and so forth.

“One young man sobbed when a guard pushed him to the floor. He said, ‘I’m not a gang member. I’m gay. I’m a barber.’ I believed him. *** He “began to whimper,” as his head was roughly shaved, “folding his hands in prayer as his hair fell.” He “asked for his mother & cried as he was slapped again.”
