We had a lively and engaging book talk Sunday re SHADOW ISLANDS. I was fortunate to be joined by V.S. Kemanis, author of INDELICATE DECEPTION. I’m very grateful to the wonderful bookstore Hudson Valley Books for Humanity (Ossining, N.Y.) for hosting us.

As we can see, the people in this neighborhood follow healthy diets. And are rightfully proud of it…

I have a medical appointment today at 0930. The office insists I arrive by 0915. Doesn’t that mean the appointment is at 0915?

My debut novel has now been published: A political scandal, stolen millions, and a cryptic map lead four Vietnam veterans to an abandoned CIA base on a remote Caribbean Island. The only obstacles to finding the loot: modern-day pirates, a local naval garrison, and some well-armed ex-CIA agents.

For those trying to discern any coherent theme in the Trump administration’s foreign policy, I heartily recommend Randy Newman’s classic, “Political Science.”

I went to the beach this evening. People were singing. There was a bright star, the name of which I could not recall. I listened to the singing and then thought about the star… Ah, Capella.

My mistake; I thought this was a BYOTP party. But, not to worry, I can’t afford that imported stuff anymore anyway…

Kudos to 60 Minutes for its touching report on talented young musicians prohibited from playing with the Marine Corps Band due to an order from ignorant and petty plutocrats. Well done! Somewhere Edmund R. Murrow is smiling.
