This is plain wrong. He is trying to use the most recent SCOTUS definition which twisted in its logic. Last I checked, Lipton is not a judge, not a lawyer, but a reporter and should be using the normal person’s standard English dictionary definition of corruption. This is deliberately misleading

we have failed as a society to train people to communicate, the way we teach students to write (when we bother to) is the most bland, anodyne crap, all while making them go to college for reasons that even we can't explain beyond "you need it to get a job." Kids don't get why they're going.
