Such cool work! Check out this recent paper by my colleague @jamieson-ai.bsky.social et al. with immediate real-world impact!

REMINDER: Last chance to submit a scientific picture or art of a embryos, stem cells or organoids to the YEN Image Competition. Deadline is 1st May! #YEN2025

Benny was my PhD mentor. Infectious enthusiasm and burning curiosity is exactly right. He was such a great mentor to me and many others and he will be sorely missed. יהיה זכרו ברוך. May his memory be a blessing.

Hey @drlizhaynes.bsky.social Thanks for representing! (Not tattooed myself but respect the art of self expression :)) www.nature.com/articles/d41...

NEW PAPER, JUST OUT! 👀 Insects from the '70s and '80s were already collecting microplastic, decades before the term microplastic even existed. 🤯 A thread on the surprising history of this pollutant and the incredible insect larvae that helped us uncover it. 🐛 Let's dive in! 🧵👇 1/x

Groundbreaking study in Cell from @leventallab.bsky.social: phospholipid asymmetry is a defining feature of the plasma membrane and cholesterol fills the holes — major implications for how this membrane works. A #lipidtime must-read! www.cell.com/cell/abstrac...

Wow! 😍

On #InternationalDayofWomenandGirlsinScience let me remind you that we are NOWHERE NEAR parity. A few examples. 1. Women are credited less in science than men. www.nature.com/articles/s41...

Happy International Day of Women and Girls in Science! Its been a privilege to work with these extraordinary scientists in my lab over the years - all making an incredible impact throughout the world 🙌 We must never give up on #equality #diversity & #inclusion 💪 #WomeninScience #GirlsInSTEM 🧪🔬🔭🚀

This sounds like such a cool meeting!!

Why are people putting "NIH" in quotes? Sorry I cant keep up with online trends, please advise :D

Preprint Alert📣 Our work ✳️uncovers a distinct cancer cell state with survival advantages in the pediatric cancer *Ewing Sarcoma* ✳️implicates membrane invaginations called *caveolae* that drive survival through subcellular organization of signaling molecules on the cell surface. Check it out! 👇

#ZebrafishCareers 🇺🇸 (Postdoc)

Very excited by this paper by @peeyoushh.bsky.social in my lab. We demonstrated the increased robustness of LLM/transformers in tracking at scale but also their pitfalls: when the combinatorics gets simpler (and not just modeling!), stats work best. Tons of potential for hybrid approaches :).

This project sounds so cool and this PI is awesome, highly recommend!!

💥Finally out! Answering a two-centuries old question about a membraneless organelle that forms in #oocytes from insects to humans: the Balbiani body (Bb). Now in @currentbiology.bsky.social : cell.com/current-biol... >

I read Riley's previous book The Last Days of the Dinosaurs, and can't recommend that enough. Can't wait to read this one.
