Very tempting, but I can't do my job in Minnesota (which is a good thing for MN, I work in state capital habeas here in TX)

The Vice President of the United States did a podcast interview today where he pretended to have secret statistics about crime rates in communities with heft numbers of undocumented people. If he had such numbers he would share them. He is a liar. He is craven.

Not only is Congress refusing to defend its own Constitutional prerogatives from executive encroachment, it’s now actively working with the administration to defang the courts.

This is a really great article, and I think its premise is correct: Social media isn't changing people into monsters, it's changing their interpretation of what's expected of them based on the interests of the person controlling the platform.

Make America Chernobyl Again

✈️👀 It appears that the plane that took the people in violation of the TRO to Djibouti on their way to South Sudan is on the move. Can’t tell if anyone is on board.

I guess unelected spokeswomen should shut the fuck up then

Precisely

This is for the private prison corporations and the policing industry. They are going to use these laws to take Americans as slaves. www.statesman.com/story/news/p...

Rep. Tim Burchett told Fox News that he doesn't "drink out of a straw" because "that's what the women in my house do"

This is real. “Suck it.” The Secretary of the US Department of Homeland Security.

I know I sound ridiculous and extreme saying this, but this reconciliation bill deserves mass civil disobedience from every level of elected official in the country

F#ck. “A provision ‘hidden’ in the sweeping budget bill that passed the U.S. House on Thursday seeks to limit the ability of courts—including SCOTUS—from enforcing their orders *** The provision ‘would make most existing injunctions…unenforceable,’” per the dean of UC Berkeley Law School. 5/22/25

People will need to very quickly become comfortable with breaking the law for themselves and on behalf of others. We're going to have to lie. We're going to have to cover for other people. We're going to have to disobey and obstruct and keep each other moving.
