UK military aid, arms, intelligence and decisions by government ministers have enabled Israel’s genocide in Gaza. That’s why I’m proud to co-sponsor @jeremycorbyn.bsky.social’s bill for a full, independent public inquiry, like the one for the Iraq War. Truth matters. So does accountability.

Russ gets it.

Hmm... I wonder if this might have something to do with the Government's evident willingness to take instructions from private sector lobbyists for everything from the City to volume housebuilders to the fossil fuel sector to the defence industry. www.theguardian.com/politics/202...

David Mencer is a war criminal. Tell me I'm wrong.

I don’t distinguish between Tories, Labour or Reform any more. I think it’s healthier that way. Basically, nothing really changes because these parties are just a front for those who are really in charge.

I wonder when the new caring DWP starts? The one that Alison McGovern promised wouldn’t be forcing people into unsuitable jobs 🤔

"You couldn't get a bleaker picture than what we've seen over the last few days. 62 people have been killed... merely for trying to access food for their families, for themselves" Jeremy Lawrence, United Nations human rights spokesperson

Israeli government ministers and officials told us exactly what they intended to do in #Gaza, then went ahead and did it. There will be no justice until they are brought before the ICC to face charges of genocide.

One of our favourite accounts has written something we oldies can read, reminisce and nod in agreement too. Check it out

it's my birthday today! 🌹 I'd be grateful if you shared my art as a gift to me 🫶

What did we do to deserve this government? It promised change, and many people voted on that basis, in good faith. But the change is from bad to worse. www.theguardian.com/environment/...

We need to make the Labour Government more scared of losing votes and seats to the Green Party than to Reform. I'm in this week's @bigissue.com talking about how we can make this happen. 1/2

#Starmer #War Healey's #Reform charm offensive continues. He doesn't even have the courtesy to look the woman in the face...

Is anyone able (or willing) to share the issues they are facing? 👇🏻

Starmer’s military spending scam.

Come and work with me and the Greens in Bristol! đź’š

So where is the money going? A comparison of doctors' pay by nation indicates it isn't going on them. It must be going somewhere; and I'd suggest it is going to pay private health and drug companies' shareholder returns. Our NHS should not be a cash cow for global capital and hedge-funds.

My thoughts on Labour so far. From Call Jonathan Pie series 2 - available on BBC Sounds and other podcast platforms.

We're being told Russia will invade unless we spend billions more on weapons. They want us to be in a permanent state of fear while the defence industry extracts billions & in a few years Healey will be sitting on the board of a defence company while the rest of us sit in poverty

No shit.

Is being in work enough to ensure that you can care for your family? @ruthcurtice.bsky.social‬ argues this is increasingly not the case in Britain. Catch Ruth on BBC Panorama here ➡️ buff.ly/IzHfBtB

At least a quarter of children are in poverty in two-thirds of areas across the UK. Yet govts still obsessed with austerity, real wage cuts, benefit cuts Will children recover from physical, mental harms inflicted by political choices? End poverty. Redistribute. Save the future.

Robert Jenrick once thought Brexit would "lead us to dystopia". He rebuked Suella Braverman for her extreme language. Now the soon-to-be Tory leader uses more extreme language than Nigel Farage. My new column on a dangerous opportunist 👇 www.theguardian.com/commentisfre...

Defence spending is an awful way to spend. It has little economic multiplier affects as claimed by Starmer. Once again he lies. It doesnt boost economy at all Best economic multiplier is NHS spending, schools, benefits system etc Labour are economic and political imbecile’s and morally repugnant

Medical staff again doing the work that journalists have failed to do.

Always money for war, never for the poor.

Why is there always money for war, but never for the poor? I know which side I’m on.

UK Govt AI copyright plan suffers fourth House of Lords defeat, 242 to 116 votes. Copyright holders must be able to see when their work has been used and by whom. Tech firms need to be licensed to use the work and pay. Govt disagrees. I voted against the govt.

Brace for more, a lot more of these, when Keir Starmer's murderous PIP/UC cuts go through.

No money for people with disabilities. No money for the elderly. No money for children in poverty. Always money for war.

A reminder through a powerful and (mostly) 2Tone image... #FuckRacism

Keir Starmer can find billions for weapons factories, drones and a submarine but not for disability benefits or the two child limit. One more time for those at the back: Poverty Is A Political Choice.

How many people in the UK have died due to war in the last few decades? None. How many people in the UK have died due to austerity in the last few decades? Well over 350,000. We need to invest in public services, not war. Repost if you agree.

Shocking but unsurprising to see two Labour MPs in front attempt to shout me down — for standing up for disabled people hit by cuts, kids pushed into poverty by the two-child benefit cap & pensioners who lost winter fuel payments. I know whose side I’m on. Can they say the same?

@unitesharon.bsky.social @unitesharon.bsky.social How can they represent Labour voters & members? If they won't support hard won changes for workers & families, how are they allowed in Labour?

The money Rachel Reeves needs is readily available. All that is lacking is the understanding on how to use it www.taxresearch.org.uk/Blog/2025/06...
