“If a [nuclear] weapon is a year away, you cannot say we're under imminent threat— that does not give you a right to self-defense.” @mehdirhasan.bsky.social explains to Piers Morgan why Israel’s strikes on Iran were preventive, not preemptive — and therefore illegal under international law.

This. Is. Not. Normal.

I did an event in DC & there was a party for donors etc after. Was talking to 2 ppl & I said "Things are so bad." They said "No this is how it is. Things swing one way, then another. It's normal." That's when I realized why Dems are toothless. They have no idea what this is. Frogs boiling in water.

The Minnesota shooter apparently used data broker websites to find the home addresses of the people he shot and murdered. Congress has had years to do something about data brokers and they've sided with the tech lobby over and over again. Their inaction is deadly.

The Atlantic should be ashamed of publishing this nightmare piece from Liz Bruenig, whose callous dismissal of Adriana Smith's dignity is one of the most shocking things I've ever read.

"Peace & prosperity" update: We regret to inform you…

Art of the Deal!

“if they can do this to a senator they can do this to anybody” they already are doing it to everybody wtf do you think weve been saying

The idea that the progressive left used the internet to bully institutions into accepting unpopular, far-left positions is the exact opposite of what has actually happened. The alt-right used the internet for ideological capture and they are now in the White House bragging about it daily

I'm grateful that if I post that Stephen Miller is a hateful dickbag on social media, no one can fire me from MSW Media because I own it. I might not be your cup of tea, but thanks to all who support independent media 💙🙏

Department of Homeland Security officers invading a congressman's offices and arresting a staffer who tried to stop them is very, very bad. gothamist.com/news/homelan...

Here’s the Democrat running against Joni Ernst! Please give him a follow and your support. Let’s get Ernst out of Congress! @sageforiowa.bsky.social

Been saying this for awhile, but will repeat it for emphasis: If you love freedom but don’t care if it applies to everyone, what you actually love is privilege.

Don't miss the scariest committee hearing of the year.

Devastating. The cowardice and the betrayal of an incomparable news brand.

Ashley Babbit's family is poised to recieve 30 million dollars (from tax payers) thanks to the Dept of Justice... Mrs Sicknick just wanted a phone call and the people who assaulted her son Brian held accountable.

Pretty much 🤦‍♀️🤬

Genius!

Of course

You can’t say criminals don’t deserve due process when due process is the thing that decides if they're criminals. Otherwise you're just kidnapping people you don't like.

Not only is California the 4th largest economy in the world—it’s growing faster than any of the top three: U.S., China, and Germany. Red state Republicans love to hate us… but they sure don’t mind cashing the checks.

It's amazing the shit I took for giving this obvious prognosis in 2016 -- back before you were allowed to say it, and now it still gets me banned, because I told the truth too early on national TV and that makes it hard for officials to feign ignorance!

His name is Andry Hernandez Romero. He is a young professional from Venezuela. He is a makeup artist. He is a gay man. Andry was a target for abuse in his homeland of Venezuela. He was viciously humiliated daily — the victim of discrimination for his sexuality. He was also being persecuted for…

I thought US manufacturers were supposed to benefit from these amazing tariffs!

Just a reminder that Trump/DOJ continuing to let Abrego Garcia sit in CECOT is *a crime*. Deprivation of rights under color of law is a crime. Was it an "error" at first? Maybe. But once they were aware of the error, and ordered by a judge to return him, and then refusing, it's willful 1/

Sorry to post so much fundraising stuff today, but something very cool happened: An anonymous supporter agreed to match contributions to our fundraiser up to $15,000. I hope you’ll consider supporting our non-profit newsroom so we can reach the $15K maximum. Tysm! givebutter.com/journalism/a...

I received the email on the left from a very good student. My response is on the right. One of the challenging things for teachers right now is the uncertainty. I could’ve easily replied with “I have no clue.”

SCOOP --> The cop who initially attested to Abrego Garcia's alleged MS-13 membership was subsequently suspended and indicted for serious professional misconduct: Sharing case info with a sex worker. This undermines Trumpworld's smears. New piece from me: newrepublic.com/article/1940...

Honestly we fell for it hook, line, and sinker. youtube.com/shorts/t6OLy...

Thanks so much to @gregolear.bsky.social and @thefive8.bsky.social for having me on last night to talk about my new book, "You Can Kill Each Other After I Leave," fascism in the US and elsewhere, and the way the far right seizes on border narratives: Order the book: mhpbooks.com/books/you-ca...

An official act

i imagine it's very difficult finding people who share your passion for turning the poor into biofuel

A reminder that if the government can send migrants to a prison camp without any due process, it can send U.S. citizens there, too. I know because this happened to me and my family in 1942.

Funny, no tariffs on Russia, either.

I read this book two years ago. Think about it ALL the time

RUCKUS now illegal. Soon coming for HUBBUB and BROUHAHA. We must draw line at HULLABALOO
