This is serious, rigorous analysis and it should change the way the media has been covering these protests. These were, in the aggregate, *massive.*

St. Louis. #STL

great reminder to all of those Democrats and liberals saying that we need to abandon red states because they are gerrymandered into right wing autocracies where the vote isn’t in their favor instead of accepting that we are gonna have to fight for every American no matter where they are.

No kings! In Brookline MA 🧪

No King protest in San Diego. Incredible. 💙👊

Hello from Berlin where a few hundred Americans are outside the embassy, currently reading aloud from the Declaration of Independence. #nokings

Donald Trump wants you to forget that his first act in office was to pardon hundreds of violent thugs who beat cops.

🚨 BREAKING NEWS 🚨 Our campaign’s momentum is UNSTOPPABLE. Today @zohrankmamdani.bsky.social and I are officially cross-endorsing each other to join forces — and defeat Andrew Cuomo. 11 days. Let’s win.

Via @nytimes.com: I’m proud to team up with @zohrankmamdani.bsky.social and cross-endorse each other for Mayor because of his strong commitment to a more affordable city. Together, we'll fight for a safer, better-run New York — and ensure that Andrew Cuomo makes it nowhere near City Hall.

If you're going to make the argument that we need someone who can be an effective manger of the city there's a much better option in @bradlander.bsky.social, someone who has, you know, actually worked with the bureaucracy here

Each time you ask an AI chatbot a question, it sends a request to a data center and strains an increasingly scarce resource: water. A 🧵on our investigation into how the data centers that power AI are increasingly being built in highly water-stressed places: www.bloomberg.com/graphics/202...

Double.

NEW: StreetsPAC recommends that voters rank Comptroller Brad Lander first for mayor, saying his plan for safer streets and better public transit is "by far the most comprehensive blueprint ... we've ever seen from a candidate for any office." buff.ly/WgU5qEr

I wrote about this extraordinary moment in which LA leaders still seem to believe they can produce a series of megaevents in cooperation with a federal government that has occupied their downtown and is openly abducting their constituents

'The plan was shelved soon after, but the power authority had already spent $106 million, including on the lighting equipment and design costs. The authority was ultimately reimbursed by taxpayers.' www.politico.com/news/2025/06...

JUST IN: Two ballot measures to protect public libraries from the conservative city council in Huntington Beach are both ahead by very wide margins. Measure to repeal a 'book review committee' up 61/39. Measure to bar privatization up 63/37. That's already with 51K+ ballots counted. Context:

NEW Japan train news! JR East has announced a new overnight express train service from Tokyo to Northern Tohoku, starting in spring 2027. This train will feature private rooms, a lounge car, an elevated class called Premium Green, and more. #Japan #trains altitudeyes.com/japans-jr-ea...

The Declaration of Independence specifies 27 grievances with King George III, and I count at least 15 of them that Donald Trump has also committed in whole or in part. Particularly notable right now: "He has kept among us, in times of peace, Standing Armies without the Consent of our legislatures."

If you’re wondering how a mayor Cuomo would respond to the situation that’s unfolding in LA, this is what he had to say as governor in 2020

The ancient Greek experience of colour does not seem to match our own. How is this possible? Did the Greeks really see the colours of the world differently from the way we do? buff.ly/XcLOH97 #WorldOceansDay

Gathering of fascists in Moscow, Elon Musk's father in attendance

There are ZERO riots. I am in downtown Los Angeles. There are live feeds of everything that was here and what went down in Paramount. Dudes on mini bikes making noise and people holding Fuck Ice signs etc. But no violence from protesters. None. Cannot say the same about the opposition.

One way to be a patriot right now is not to engage in doomerism. These people are fascists and they’re very dangerous. But they’re also weak, undisciplined, and unpopular. And they’re losing.

EXTREMELY BAD NEWS for economic research, per former BLS Commissioner @ericagroshen.bsky.social on LinkedIn. BLS is suspending access to its restricted data "for the forseeable future." Applies to projects through the Federal Statistical Research Data Centers & onsite projects with BLS. #EconSky

NYC is a wild ride. We need someone in charge who has experience, integrity and real solutions to: 👊fight corruption, ❎end wasteful spending, 🏘️build affordable housing, and 💪stand up to Donald Trump All while keeping their cool. I’m Brad Lander, and I’m running to be your next Mayor.

June, soon. July, stand by. August, you must. September, remember. October, all over. #hurricaneseason #hurricane
