VERY cold winter morning. I was running the Lake Loop in Madison back in 2019/2020. The only other person I saw the whole 15 miles was Mandela Barnes. Shouted some encouragement to each other as we ran by one another.

A tricky thing about modern society is that no one has any idea when they don’t die. Like, the number of lives saved by controlling air pollution in America is probably over 200,000 per year, but the number of people who think their life was saved by controlling air pollution is zero.

Look, we do not teach people about past atrocities to make them feel guilty about them. We teach to instill in people not to do those things in the future, or to let others. Those who believe the idea is to make them feel guilty often actually do feel guilty, because they want to do the thing.
