Now that the attack has happened, the information ecosystem is being bombarded by Israel supporters trying to argue that it is actually good and normal to kidnap activists who are trying to bring aid to a starving and besieged civilian population.

Monster fishing vessels are hoovering up whole ecosystems in UK waters that are supposed to be protected. I just signed a petition calling on the new government to save our seas from destructive fishing, by banning supertrawlers in UK Marine Protected Areas. Will you join me? act.gp/47MTYKR

At this rate we'll be getting asylum seekers from the USA.

This is craven, cowardly, backstabbing behaviour from Anas Sarwar. John Swinney defended Sarwar during the campaign after Farage’s racist attacks. To respond like this is a measure of his character. Which is to say: he has none

11 months until GE2026. Gut feeling is that unless the SNP focus 100% on promoting Indy yesterday’s v low turnout of their voters will be repeated & not only prevent pro-Indy majority, but may actually lead to an SNP slump and ScotGov by pro-union coalition. Seize the nettle. Use it or lose it.

What a weird situation: support for Scottish independence consistently over 50% and growing, and an independence party that seemingly doesn’t want to campaign for it. Bizarre.

Labour didn't win yesterday's by-election, the SNP lost it. I hope the 8000+ SNP 'stayed at home voters' yesterday will be a wake-up call to the party. Independence is your no.1 policy and its de-emphasis is losing you support. Use it or lose it. #Indyclan #Scotland #IndependenceIsNormal

Interesting post over on mastodon. Looks like SNP turnout crashed. Personal feeling is that SNP sidelining independence leaves voters cold and many just can’t be bothered to vote. Same happened in UK GE in 2024. Ignoring their USP risks losing more voters.

In amongst all the excitement I fear many have missed this outstanding bit of trolling by Friedrich Merz. The Chancellor gifted Trump a gilded framed copy of his grandfather’s German birth certificate... reminding Americans that Trump is both the child and grandchild of migrants.

I think it's clear.

At least Lidl make the effort.

Great news, well done TCD!!! The ONLY thing that can curb Israel's extermination of Palestinians is an international boycott in every sphere: trade, investment, culture, sports, academia, etc... It worked with racist South Africa, it'll work with racist Israel. www.irishtimes.com/ireland/educ...

So Keir Starmer has the right to ignore 54% of Scots by winning an election. But no election result in Scotparl will ever produce a mandate for Indy or #indyref. Obvs he doesn’t care what we think. But vip for Yessers to restate our committment. www.thenational.scot/news/2521260...

In 2024 Starmer prevented SNP debating an immediate ceasefire in Gaza. Now he says he will prevent Scotland having a referendum even if Scotland votes for one in 2026. What is it about democracy and Scotland that Starmer is scared of?

Australia voted out the Trump lovers & their leader lost his seat. Canada voted out the Trump lovers & their leader lost his seat. Greenland voted out the Trump lovers & they didn't win a seat. England let the Trump lovers win 10 councils & two mayoralties. This is why Scotland needs independence.

As a GP, I am not allowed to receive a pen or post-it note pad from a pharmaceutical company rep The Government banned them in case I was influenced to prescribe a certain medication This should also be banned @rthonwesstreeting.bsky.social unless you have a way to justify this?

Tice and Oakeshott know a lot more about Farage, Banks and Russian influence operations than you would think bylinetimes.com/2022/03/08/p...

A rising number of cruise ships are visiting the likes of Aberdeen, Invergordon, Orkney and the Hebrides. And while there are economic benefits, there are also significant demands placed on local authorities. Is it time for a levy on these giant vessels? www.pressandjournal.co.uk/fp/news/6766...

Scottish independence continues to be viewed as an extremist threat as reported in Private Eye 1650. We're all subversives now it seems.

Does anybody remember the govt owned Royal Ordnance Factories that were privatised and then rendered cheaply to BAe systems who shut the majority down. Rinse and repeat it seems.

No wonder Angela Rayner was keen to avoid the Gaza protestors in Hamilton given Labour's massive military support to Israel. Source Private Eye no 1650.

"The international community is enabling Israel's crimes by standing aside while millions of Palestinians are subjected to this racist and brutal regime of the Israeli government," said the Israeli human rights group B'Tselem.
