I'm sure this is part of the reason why when Gabbard was asked to provide the texts if they weren't classified, she went blank faced. If they were set to 1 week delete, they don't have the messages anymore. Jeffrey Goldberg may be the only person who has a full record of the conversation.

It is hard to feel anything but rage at EA for how things turned out. The bones for a great game were there from the beginning with a team that had proven they could make a great, profitable, highly acclaimed game. But no. They wanted live service. And they threw the baby out with the bathwater.
