Check it out, @zyblonius.bsky.social and I had a run-in with the Dark Side of the Schwartz at East Coast Comic Expo today.

Day two of East Coast Comic Expo in Moncton NB and look who’s here—Steve McNiven! Look for his pencils, my inks, and @signalnoise.com’s colours on the cover to WORDBURGLAR RHYMES WITH COMICS graphic novel, coming to Kickstarter in July! 15 comic stories based on @wordburglar.bsky.social songs!

All set up at East Coast Comics Expo in Moncton!

My DISCO RIPPER comic is composed entirely of stuff I wanted to draw. 32 pages of suspense, romance, and disco dancing, all set in 1970s NYC. Available at the link in my bio.

I did this one a few years back, inspired by a joke on the long-defunct Pat Trek podcast.

I really enjoy updated comic art previews for upcoming Kickstarters so here's a bunch of amazing sneak previews by @jasonloo.bsky.social @davehowlett.bsky.social @brendahickeycomics.bsky.social @angoranapkin.bsky.social @wackartwork.bsky.social @comicbookyeti.com www.kickstarter.com/projects/the...

If you like being notified on launch, have I got a notification in the works for you! www.kickstarter.com/projects/the...

I put off reading Kirby’s Thor for decades because of Colletta’s inks. I finally got over it and now they’re some of my favourite early Marvel comics.

What rhymes with comics? Literally this: WORDBURGLAR RHYMES WITH COMICS #1 Graphic Novel & Soundtrack, via @Kickstarter www.kickstarter.com/projects/the...

A fun collaboration for an exciting new project—pencils by Steve McNiven, colours by @signalnoise.com, inks by me. Check out the @wordburglar.bsky.social ‘s Kickstarter campaign and help make WORDBURGLAR RHYMES WITH COMICS a reality!

Kirby foresaw everything. In 1970, Jack created Morgan Edge, a cruel corporate CEO that was now Clark Kent's boss. The ruthless Edge was secretly the head of Intergang. Jack was interested in organized crime gaining a foothold in corporate America - particularly a giant media conglomerate.

Last night I watched part 1 of the TV edit of the 1976 KING KONG, which was padded out with deleted scenes to make a two-night event out of it. This is how I first saw it, not sure why I was allowed to stay up for it but no complaints. The one-sheet gets my vote for most exciting movie poster ever.

Next weekend I’ll be in Moncton, NB for the 10th anniversary East Coast Comic Expo! This is a great show, tons of cool creators and comics comics comics. Hope to see you there!

A few weeks ago Hillary and I caught an old Jerry Springer episode on Pluto featuring a guest caller Psychic Lover, who had just one psychic prediction and it doubled as his pickup line. Needless to say, we’ve become obsessed with him.

Finally acquired the last part I needed from the four-issue “Journey Into Mystery” arc of QUASAR, which picks up where the SQUADRON SUPREME: DEATH OF A UNIVERSE graphic novel. That McFarlane cover made part 2 tough to track down!

A freaked-out Peter Parker is taunted by the spectre of Spider-Man, inspired by one of my favourite Ross Andru splash pages and suggested by @zyblonius.bsky.social.

Check out this Fortress pinup from @dtronaustin.bsky.social 💥 Don is one of my favourite artists going around so seeing his take on my characters is just too cool! Fortress 1 drops August. Tell your LCS! Roam Comics and @strangers.bsky.social bringing you a monthly dose of sci-fi mayhem!

Another Ross Andru-era Spidey villain, suggested by @wordburglar.bsky.social—Will O’ The Wisp! The Roger Stern/JRJR issues where he appears are some big time nostalgic favourites of mine.

One of the great joys in SUPERMAN VS SPIDER-MAN is getting to see these two pricks share a drink and complain about their employees.

I guess I still have Gerry Conway/Ross Andru Spidey on the brain because I felt the urge to draw this weirdo, who really freaked me out when I was a kid. With good reason! #madnessmeansthemindworm

My take on the origin of Spidey villain The Jackal. Heavily inspired by the storytelling style used by @zandercannon.bsky.social’s excellent new horror comic SLEEP.

This one has been years in the making, and you can help make it happen!

Just received a package all the from Australia via @joelvdk.bsky.social! I’ve read a lot of this stuff online already, but nothing beats the real thing…FORTRESS will be available again from @strangers.bsky.social this August, with a pinup by yours truly. Don’t miss it!

Process shots for my FORTRESS pinup. @joelvdk.bsky.social was insistent that I didn’t need to stay confined to the comic’s unique colour scheme, but I couldn’t wait to try my hand at it!

Packing up some orders and crossing my fingers that Canada Post doesn’t go on strike! As always I stand with labour—here’s hoping for a speedy resolution. Thanks to all who order my comics, and I hope you don’t have to wait too long! #makemorecomics

FORTRESS by @joelvdk.bsky.social is on sale this August, and I was asked to contribute a pinup for this cool-as-hell SF series! I’m a big fan of Joel’s work and I feel incredibly honoured to be a part of this launch.

James Gunn’s Superman is looking good, despite a distinct lack of this guy (so far, anyway…)…get at me in the DMs if you want to get your hands on a copy of my bootleg COMPOSITE SUPERMAN comic!

Bringing some friends along for the relaunch of Fortress. Issues 1—3 will feature posters from: @tonymcmillen.bsky.social @dtronaustin.bsky.social @davehowlett.bsky.social @plasticsouls.bsky.social MJ Cabigting Steele Stewart Cook Fortress 1 drops in August. Lunar Code: 0525ST706
