Looks interesting. Reposting to read later myself.

Yesterday's chore was pulling up the stump of an old Azalea bush. I think there, like 6 more to do.

My PrintKits just arrived. Who do I need to bribe to size this for #10 screws?

Oh yeah! I just saw the National STEM Festival for 2026 has been announced on Instagram. Submissions will open Sept 17.

I got some stock faced down to the right thickness and mounted on the pin alignment jig. The next step is starting a 3 hour carve so that will have to wait until tomorrow.

My first kayak session of the season. It was a relaxed hour. I saw points 3 and 4 of the Black Hill water trail.

In case you want to brighten up your timeline.

Here's a little weekend project I did: It's a jig for aligning parts on the CNC bed. Basically it's an array of 5mm holes on 1 inch spacing. (Disrespecting both the Imperial and Metric unit systems at once.)

Cleaning the deck, I uncovered an Easter Ratsnake with a cozy little nest. I thought it might be a Copperhead at first, but no.

This should be good!

Finally! All the photos from Rocky Mountain RepRap Festival are posted. (Almost 700!) davewheeler.smugmug.com/3DP/RMRRF-2025

Oh, that reminds me - I need to renew my subscription.

Paint a rock, grow a snake.

Progress report: Yesterday I finished post-processing 150 images from RMRRF. But that's out of about 600. So I need a couple more editting sessions of a few hours each.

RMRRF photo update: I reviewed all 2400 frames and whittled them down to 700 or so keepers. That needs to come down to about 600 eventually. The next step is developing all of those (fixing exposures, cropping, etc.) It's going to take at least a couple more days.
