A person who says they’re not affiliated with the No Kings rally organizers gets on the mic and tells the crowd that—when the last marchers cross the bridge—a group will be marching from here to the ICE facility in South Portland

This is Alejandro Orellana, who the FBI arrested for allegedly distributing face shields, or, as many have simply called them, masks. please support Alejandro and Centro OSO in any way you can, even if that is simply wearing a respirator in public spaces in your daily life to normalize PPE.

New investigation: After Oregon invested $20m for drug addiction services, counties spent the funds on prosecutors, sheriffs, police gadgets + cars. Cop City officially opened with a ribbon cutting Tuesday morning. In response, Stop Cop City protesters have hung a “no cop nation” banner off Jackson Street Bridge.

Today, the caucus with a super minority in the lower chamber of the Oregon Legislature released their transportation proposal. I am going to hone in on their plans to drastically cut public transit funding. Their plan is unpopular, bad for Oregon, and acutely bad for rural Oregon. A thread...

Truly shameless to try to pass off several uninvited, uniformed officers “lurking in the back” of Councilor Kanal & Morillo’s community meetings as “community engagement.” Just naked intimidation.

I promise you that doing something about it, however small, will make you feel better than posting about it.

Another fevered story in the Daily Mail this morning attacking OnlyFans. The British tabloid press has been amping up antiporn stories, in what I suspect is a coordinated campaign to gin up public (and thus legislative) anger. We've seen this before.

When you share this image, you are blindly repeating one of the most unapologetic, vile pieces of transphobia ever uttered on television. Spitting on Brandon Teena's grave for Internet points. I'm posting this because I still see it randomly posted without any context.

For those who sneer at this: It doesn't fucking /matter/ if lawsuits like this are meritless. It doesn't matter if it'll get dismissed. What matters is that companies now know that they will have to spend money defending expensive lawsuits like this from state AGs. Because they hire women & POC.
