Peter David wrote some of my favorite stories. Clever, witty, heartfelt, sympathetic, dramatic, sarcastic, heroic… the man was a master of his craft. I will not only remember him fondly when I revisit these old tales, but every time I think about NYCC. Rest in peace, PAD. Thank you for everything.

One of the things people don’t quite get about Trumps cooked brain is he is permanently stuck in 1950 something. Housewives, busy business men, movies made in America. It’s an idealized whites only 1950s that plays in his brain and he tries to recreate that.

Easy Tuesday night cookery. Cut up some thighs, let ‘em sit in the Sweet & Spicy BBQ sauce, cut and cook the haricot verts, and then make the concoction of soy sauce, mirin, sesame oil, and rice vinegar with a pinched sprinkle of brown sugar to cut the salt while the noodles take their bath.
