Stumbled across Mori Yuzan’s wave design series via the internet archive - this link works on mobile theartofzen.org/mori-yuzan-a... which resonated really deeply. Beautiful.

Welcome to the archives.

Check out this moment from Dept. Q | Episode 4, starting at 10:12 till 12:00 ish. What a lovely piece of writing and pearls of wisdom.

Afternoon all :) After 5 years in my role in Defra, I'm going to be leaving this June to take up a new role as Director General of Civil Service Reform and Efficiency in the @cabinetofficeuk.bsky.social

Thinking way too much about this. What size is the store? can I get a planet earth size piece to fall the Vogons, what if it came as a square shape would the Vogons still be fooled, and why am I talking to a dog.

I love your #TypoOfTheDay @markdalgarno.bsky.social and having just typed Ladership Brief I suddenly thought I should share.

Pondering about what my recipe for creativity is 1. Save energy for it 2. Look back at past projects 3. Let it happen any where 4. Be open 5. Be prepared

Sat down to write long-form but I don’t have the energy. Back to microblogging! What @ukgovcamp.bsky.social means to me in 2025 🧵 #ukgc25

I’m going to be getting a new blank A6ish notebook. Any recommendations

Tough choices yesterday for which drinking vessel to bring #ukgc25 getting closer to filling it up with the 1st brew.

Just two more sleeps until the wonderful organisers and volunteers of @ukgovcamp.bsky.social open the doors to #UKGC25.

Hello 🙂 I'm looking for my next public sector role and would appreciate your support. Let me know if you hear of anything or wanna catch up. #OpenToWork 💼 Preferably agile delivery manager. 📜 Open to contract, permanent or temporary roles. 🌎 Remote or based in Manchester, London or Sheffield.

Almost 15 years ago I invested a small amount in a somewhat fanciful project to create a train service run by a co-operative. All these years later the ORR has finally given Go-Op permission to run an actual service. They just need to raise the capital to make it happen. go-op.coop

Ceak and tea with @noursidawi.bsky.social and @pubstr.at was so nourishing, uplifting and energising. Looking forward even more to my 1st @ukgovcamp.bsky.social as an attendee.

Pivotal vacancy at @mencap.bsky.social for a Head of Communities - a social entrepreneur, developing and leading innovative community-led programmes nationally - programmes that empower and support people with a learning disability to engage in their communities. jobs.mencap.org.uk/vacancies/32...

Made this starter pack of #OneTeamGov people, working together to radically reform the public sector through practical action. go.bsky.app/32t35D4 Who else is here making public service better?

Second time this week I’ve put milk in peppermint tea, by accident.

I wondered today, what if nationalised railway fares were free. Would all the spin off benefits be worth it. In my head they were.

Time for a cup of tea.

I’ve created a starter pack of people to follow across UK agriculture - if I’ve missed anyone let me know. Nice to see some old faces from t’other place… go.bsky.app/EJFoZ2u

This year, my user-centred design career turned 21 – and I've worked at Cake for 16 years 🎉 . Cue a tidied up client list, and shiny new #projects portfolio, to give a flavour of the wonderfully varied informational #content and #UX design I've worked on across those years. #LateNightPortfolioDrop

Is there a collective noun for cables on a desk?

Registrations close on Sunday at midnight so you still have time! docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1F...

Nom, nom.

Why do so many strategic initiatives fail? Too often, organisations focus entirely on the target customer experience, without thinking about how they’ll make it real. They want to create a new experience, but their operating model holds them back.

Please share this post. Thanks!
