I will use every tool at my disposal to protect this country from Trump. I will litigate to defend voting rights until there are no cases left to bring. I will speak out against authoritarianism until my last breath. I will not back down. I will not bow or scrape. I will never obey.

I’m George Takei and I approve of this message.

This cartoon by @mluckovich.bsky.social is getting banned on Twitter. Because of course it is.

True.

Dear Mexico, Canada, Panama, and Europe: 100 percent tariffs on Tesla.

Sell your Tesla. ❌ Sell your Cybertruck. ❌ Get off Twitter. ❌ Don’t sign up for Starlink. ❌ Bankrupt him. It will take while but it’s possible. ✊🏻 #resist

I do not know why my novel WANDERERS is a mere buck-ninety-nine at your favorite electric bookmonger site of choice, but it is, so if you want, y'know, creepy sleepwalking disease peri-apocalyptic sci-fi horror with a hefty dash of EAT SHIT A.I., then hey, it's 800 pages for 199 pennies.

He wants so desperately to be profound, but instead this stuff comes across as super weird and uncomfortable.

Food for thought.

"When Mexico sends its people, they're sending their best. They're sending firefighters to help solve American problems. They're bringing fire fighting uniforms. They're bringing fire fighting equipment. They're bringing kittens down from trees. And all, I assume, are good people."

Jeff Bezos never wanted this cartoon to become public. He killed it, and as a result, pulitzer prize editorial cartoonist Ann Telnaes quit. Make sure everyone sees this cartoon.

“As an editorial cartoonist, my job is to hold powerful people and institutions accountable. For the first time, my editor prevented me from doing that job. So I have decided to leave the Washington Post” — Ann Telnaes, after drawing this cartoon, which included the image of a supplicant Jeff Bezos

So the New Orleans attacker was an American and the Vegas Cybertruck driver was an American and yet despite those verifiable facts, MAGA and their melon-hued messiah are still out there blaming both of those tragic incidents on “the border”… Do I have that just about right?

I’m sure he wants the history of it all told his way.

Advent calendar: Nativity

Nota bene: Elon Musk has committed 2 cardinal sins in Trump world. He upstaged him; and is now responsible for an embarrassing defeat. (and Trump must absolutely hate the whole President Musk thing.)

Republicans cut $200 million in funding for childhood cancer research, but please tell me more about how “pro-life” they are, won’t you.

This didn’t get enough media attention when it happened so I’m posting it again. The Biden’s were not only innocent, they were framed. And the GOP knew it and amplified the lie anyway.

Narrator: She made this up.

Advent calendar 16. Monotype with watercolour:

As a Buddhist, I believe in non-violence to solve our problems. I have yet to see those condemning the left for lionizing Luigi Mangione even once criticize the right’s vile embrace of Kyle Rittenhouse, or Trump and Vance inviting Daniel Penny to be their political prop at a football game.

“What kind of books do you like?” “Yes.”

Please help pushback against Dutton and News Corp’s nuclear disinformation by sharing these very simple FACTS which show nuclear power is more expensive, slower and will contribute a tiny share of power generation as compared to renewables. The nuclear campaign is designed to undermine renewables👇🏻
