I love when @leomorgenstern.com has some fun with it.

This is some classic union-busting bullshit. I see this ALL THE TIME in my line of work. "We love teachers, but we hate the nasty teachers union." The teachers and educators ARE the union, just like the players ARE their union. Disagreement in the ranks is healthy, natural, and most of all internal.

I have thought pretty hard on how to respond to this as one of the “creatives” whose work is being “scraped” here. Plain and simple: this is theft of very hard work that only a handful of people are qualified to do, stripped of all relevant context. It is not a “cool” or “fun” use of AI.

If you haven't bee reading Hannah's newsletter, this would be a great time to start.

What’s it like to interview for a baseball job with the Red Sox? No, AI bots do *not* control the process. But recent candidates detail a process that is more impersonal than that with other organizations. www.bostonglobe.com/2025/06/20/s...

I don't normally laugh out loud at my jokes as I'm writing them. That would be weird. But Nomar GarciAIparrAI got me every single time.

JJ nails it as always.

These people aren’t afraid Mamdani would be a bad mayor. We have a ridiculous, corrupt, incompetent mayor right now and the city is hanging in OK. They’re declaring all-out war because they’re afraid Mamdani (or Lander) might be a good mayor.

In case anybody is interested in calling @schumer.senate.gov to tell him that trans rights matter and he should act like it, his office number is 202-224-6542. I was able to get through and talk to a staffer just now.

A little tidbit: Devers was willing to play first base for the Red Sox but wanted the team to commit to keeping him at that position moving forward, not to go back and forth.
