Right at 850 words down while working on getting dinner ready. The timer went off just as I hit a reasonable stopping point. I got my workout in today and we'll see if I can get some bass in before D&D tonight. #amwriting #writingcommunity #writersky #fantasy

Win for today: I didn't want to go hit the weights today. Having a down mental day (which is weird given it was a solid weekend), but I made myself go out, and I feel better about it. I did almost drop the bench press bar on my head after my final set as I missed the rest on the left side.

Sitting down for the first editing pass of this new short story and didn't realize it was just over 18 pages. Of course, idiot me printed it out double-sided. For the record, I prefer a blank back for this pass so I can rewrite whole sections if I want.

So looking back recently, I'm generally averaging about 1000 words a day when I'm writing. When I actively engage my competitiveness (like when I was trying to stay ahead of @danjolley.bsky.social), I can push 3-5K a day. The joys of utilizing your competitive streak.
