I was in the backseat of the car, my two best friend brothers in the front whipping along a gravel road at an alarming speed. The elder drove as the younger blasted master of puppets from the boom box between them. Then without warning the elder brother tore out the tape, throwing it into the road.

Without getting into too much detail, my 10-year-old goes to a progressive outdoor (outdoor) day school. Last year they had to call off their drag story time because the Proud Boys threatened to show up armed. So it’s not just the guns, it’s the fascism. I know, I am stating the obvious. Be well.
