Honestly I don’t know if I’m really as elitist about metal as I come off. I definitely play up those tendencies more than they actually are tho even I’m bad at telling exactly where the real line is sometimes lol

This review has been very popular around here lately, often hailed as a good and necessary hate review of a shitty album. And that’s partly right. But the review itself has a lot of glaring issues and in the process of its hate, it fundamentally accepts the wrong things about metal overall

Very epic and melody driven heavy metal/USPM from 1984. Super grand and emotional sounding stuff. There’s some great riffs but it’s the powerful sense of melody that really makes this album. Incredible vocals. The drumming is awesome too. I highly recommend this #metalsky
