Failed COVID PPE contracts during the pandemic cost UK public purse £1.4bn. £762m lost - PPE over ordered and defective, delays in checking quality. Govt trying to recover £468m. But some got richer. Would govt snoop on their bank accounts, like it will on benefit claimants?

Perhaps the Government should launch a Defence Bond, like the War Bonds of old which offered a modest return and were considered a patriotic act. And raise the tax of the top tiers of society that have massively increased their wealth at the expense of the majority. news.sky.com/story/politi...

All those innocent Ukrainians who were just going about their daily business when Russia indiscriminately bombed their apartment buildings were just sitting there not bothering anyone too!!

This guy, Zia,is unelected. He can travel to Kent anytime but has no right to enter staff areas of council premises. I suspect the police 👮 may be called should anyone attempt anything DODGEY…

Farage still arguing for the fossil fuel industry is quite apt for a dinosaur. Carbon is our past not our future, UK must accelerate the move to renewables. Invest in new industries not pollution that only makes wealthy people even wealthier at everyone elses expense. Rely on gas = higher costs.

ICC sanctioned criminal Netanyahu should be arrested at the earliest opportunity and stand trial at The Hague for his war crimes. news.sky.com/story/former...

Strange that the Chancellor on the one hand thinks that state of the economy warrants raiding pensioner's wallets but the threat to the nation doesn't warrant the enriched top 10% paying more tax for the defence of the nation. 🤔 news.sky.com/story/strate...

It's important that those of us that hightlight the current Israeli regime's shameful genocide & ethnic cleansing of Palestinains also condemn acts of terrorism like this. news.sky.com/story/target...

Emma Monk - “Farage, leader of a party of just 5 MPs, has plans for the future & is making big promises - Lower taxes, Higher benefits > Sweeping Cuts. Behind those soundbites lies a financial black hole. Reform’s plans aren’t even remotely financially literate.” open.substack.com/pub/monkdebu...?

Nigel Farage has been savaged over his maths skills after newly release figures suggest the Reform UK leader's costings don't add up.

The Israeli regime, led by a wanted war criminal and backed by the felon in the Whitehouse, is conducting ethnic cleansing in the West Bank and that plus genocide in Gaza. Shamefully disregarding the Holocaust.

Since Scarborough Council was abolished and replaced by North Yorkshire Council the public gardens have been negelcted. The best colour now comes from the weed Valerian which itself competes with Brambles, Willow Herb and Sycamores to provide best cover for the rats nests.

Businesses really need to think carefully before connecting their core systems to the Internet. The best firewall is, and always will be an air gap. news.sky.com/story/nhs-tr...

The senior Tory gave her unfunded tax-slashing plans "9.5 out of 10".

Keir Starmer’s dad: a toolmaker Nigel Farage’s dad: a stockbroker @benkentish.bsky.social asks why the Reform leader is more popular with the working class than the PM, despite his privileged background.

We have a president who virtually never thinks rationally, logically, or even in sequential steps. Nor can he fully comprehend causes and effects. His base of knowledge on virtually all subjects relating to governance and economics and world affairs is minimal. (1/2)

Kent and Durham Councils - one of Reform’s first acts was to take down the Ukrainian flag They are traitors to democracy www.theguardian.com/politics/202...

Wanted war criminal tries to deflect responsibilty for a terrorist attack onto those that condemn his regimes genocide of Palestinian civilians. Hang your head in shame Israel. www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...

Net migration to UK down by half in 2024 compared with year before

‘The numbers aren’t hard to find. Why would nobody bother to look?’ @mrjamesob.bsky.social has a theory to explain ‘how on earth’ people didn’t know net migration has halved in a year.

When an extremist regime engages in genocide it invites condemnation. To then attempt to link that rightful condemnarion to a terrorist attack demonstrates how low this Israeli regime has sunk. Israel above any other nation on earth should know that their behaviour is beyond disgraceful.

Opening doors while firing the people behind them isn’t progress — it’s a PR stunt.

The Gaslighting villains also play the new state pensions card to fool people. They omit to highlight that two thirds of current pensioners receive the lower old scheme pension slammed by the OECD as shameful.

So some of the worst paid pensioners in Europe might be getting back some of the winter fuel allowance, maybe. In the interim Labour are keen to remind us that they didn't take away the LibDems Pension Triple Lock, that was designed to close the gap with wages created by Snatcher Thatcher in 1981.

There's nothing complex about withdrawing from another country that you illegally invaded and the proceeded to murder its citizens. Please present yourself to the ICC at the Hague. news.sky.com/story/ukrain...

The UK music industry, damged by Farage's Brexit shambles, makes a significantly larger economic contribution than the fishing industry. In 2023, the music industry contributed £7.6 billion in Gross Value Added (GVA), while the fishing industry's GVA was considerably less, around £1.075 billion

Always time to turn off ITV This Morning when the right-wing extremist Camila Tomin is coming on. Bye.

Fishy Farage was happy to use the Fishermen in 2016 ans he's still at it. Did Brexit improve anything for Fishermen... did it hell. All that faux fuss about an industry that contributes little but no concern at the damage Brexit did to other more important industries. news.sky.com/story/politi...
