This is your Election Day reminder that Andrew Cuomo’s response to the mass death of his own voters was to rake in campaign money and try to block victims’ families from holding his donors accountable. www.levernews.com/investigatio...

Did anyone believe Trump's "ceasefire?"

The LSST Camera at Rubin Observatory will discover millions of new celestial objects. It will also show that density of galaxy distribution across time proves the universe is NOT expanding, but don't expect astrophysicists to admit that reality. youtu.be/V4HxyS0M2UM #science #criticalthinking

"US attacks Iran" Because of course it did.

More people should listen to @davidsirota.com and @levernews.com Abundance liberals and populists can together combat scarcity — but one side has to come clean. www.levernews.com/how-to-end-d... We need a party for the people.

More proof that Democrats oppose Progressives more than they oppose Republicans.

And yes, that includes explaining Donnie Two Weeks TACO Trump.

Half-Empty Planes to a Half-Dead Country I have some philosophical insights to share (it's my nature) about travel and culture. medium.com/@dgilesphilo...

Why establishment Democrats still can’t stomach progressive candidates like Zohran Mamdani | Arwa Mahdawi www.theguardian.com/commentisfre... They are against progressives more than they are against Republicans.

On Iran and nuclear weapons.

I signed the final bills Melissa Hortman shepherded through the most narrowly divided legislature in the county. All of them bipartisan. We debated, we found common ground, and we compromised. That’s how democracy should function.

The only thing AI can do is expedite human laziness.

Almost all Americas are so deeply hidden in their silos that neither Trump’s parade nor the No Kings Protests will have any effect on most people.

Dig deeper. Ask the question, what are the real causes of America’s current mess? Ask what in America led to Trump. Many people simply don’t get this. Worse, many people don't want to get it. They find it easier to think in lazy, binary terms.

AI remains little more than Tech Bro fantasies and marketing hype to vacuum up venture capital and sales to the gullible. When will the bubble burst and people start going where Bankman-Fried was sent?

‘Saying Trump is dangerous is not enough’: Bernie Sanders on Biden, billionaires – and why the Democrats failed www.theguardian.com/us-news/ng-i...

The dominant victory of visual-based social media has had many negative consequences for our society. One was making it even harder for good arguments to stand on their own and not be overwhelmed by charismatic characters (and fraudsters) better at hacking our attention.

The force of one passionate person is more powerful than the presence of 99 interested people.

Those being giddy over the Elon Musk-Donald Trump pissing match are forgetting something. It's a fight over whether to divert a shitload of money and power from The 99% to The 1% or a megashitload of money and power from The 99% to The 1%.

Radio trash talker Mark R. Levin is releasing a book called “On Power.” Given his history, it will be another pompous, fallacy-laden rant, but it will prove true what I wrote about the right wing and power. dgilesauthor.com/a-philosophy... #politics #Project2025

‘Saying Trump is dangerous is not enough’: Bernie Sanders on Biden, billionaires – and why the Democrats failed www.theguardian.com/us-news/ng-i... Exactly. And the Democrats prefer to keep failing.

Better late than never, @levernews.com is just about the only media outlet talking any sense these days. The resistance won’t succeed until it stops being a performance and starts challenging the system that got us here. www.levernews.com/why-the-trum...

The corporate media has started a whispering campaign that Curtis Yarvin is the savant behind the right wing push for autocracy. And in the past three weeks, BlueSky has only become worse--memes and snark without substance or dialogue. BlueSky promised to be the original Twitter, but it's turned out to be just another X. 😞
