Looking at the 3D scene view of Little Nemo shows off some interesting stuff: * Little Buddy pathfinding gizmos * Chunks loading in around Nemo * World re-centering (this reduces float imprecision as we travel) * Parallax isn't based on z-depth, but the "distance fog" effect is #indiedev #gamedev

As you get deeper into 🍄Mushroom Marsh🍄 you'll find some scary enemies in the darkness of the underground areas. The Marshwallow here seems to be mimicking Nemo 😱 If you've found your Little Buddy Lampet by this point, the light he emits will be very helpful. #screenshotsaturday #indiedev

Working on the Crystal Caverns has been a lot of fun because I've made some of the enemies very dangerous (you probably shouldn't come in here until fairly late game) but they can also be quite useful! #indiedev #gamedev

People often assume the In Between is a load screen, but we're always loading the world in/out around you (scene view below). It serves as more of a palette cleanser so that we have time to fade out the previous domain's music and ambience (which linearly fade out as you move). #gamedev #indiedev

Sometimes game dev is developing fun levels and gameplay gimmicks, and then other times it's spending 5 hours to hunt down a performance issue you introduced at some point in the last several weeks that only shows up in builds, but ultimately is fixed by a single line. 🫠 #gamedev #indiedev
