Win a picture book critique from me! #kidlit

I just had a great critique session with @kaitlynleann17.bsky.social Kaitlyn Sanchez. She helped me understand what was missing in my recent manuscript so that I can take it from good to great. I highly recommend working with her to polish up picture book manuscripts!

I deleted THOUSANDS of old emails...it was like deleting thousands of "good intentions" and "to dos" that didn't need to get done. I feel like I want to declutter everywhere!

Sent a query/submission out today. It still makes me nervous...but I'm trying to shift into feeling excited instead! ;)

Writing today...it's been a minute...

There's still time to join @12x12challenge.bsky.social this year. The webinars with industry professionals are always informative and the critique section with "Ninja" critiques are always helpful in getting my work to the next level. #12x12PB

My mom brought over enough soup and oranges to get rid of the current germs plaguing me and the future ones I haven't even met yet! :D Moms are the best.

Whatever happens, never forget: READING FOR PLEASURE has the biggest positive impact of any factor on children's life chances. So always make time to share books with kids, and help them find books to love. Make reading central to everything you do. It will change their lives forever! #literacy

Using my sick days as writing days. Sent off a few submissions!

The flu finally got me...

I celebrated the new year by going to bed at 9:30 - it was glorious! I was tired and needed the rest. Here's to a year of self care!

Thanks to whoever went to the trouble of morphing me into a dromedary so I could finally fulfill my potential as "Mar🐫". 🙏 ❤️ 👍

Was feeling sluggish and tired for weeks. Finally had some fun out this weekend and I'm feeling better than I have in ages. I realized I need to have more fun - not just work all the time.

Sent a query for the first time in a loooooonnnnngggg time.

Started wrapping holiday gifts. It always makes me happy. :)

I started reading "The Artist's Way" by Julia Cameron. Hoping to help my creativity flow better. Anyone have any experience/suggestions?

I'm having too much fun here and thinking about my manuscripts. I can't seem to find my lesson planning motivation. I see another 4am lesson planning sesh in my future. Ugh...😱

Sounds about right to me... 😂

I'm still new here, so your help is appreciated. How do I make a starter pack? I wanted to compose a list of group participants.
