The Govt wants to cut PIP to "help" disabled people work but Access to Work is in crisis: • 6+ month delays • 20,000 people on wait list (Mar 2025 - up from 5,000 in 2024) • Missed jobs, lost businesses • Rising hardship Cutting PIP won't help. Fixing the system will. #TakingThePIP

@zarahsultana is on the side of disabled people ✊ #DisabilityRebellion #TakingThePIP #WelfareNotWarfare

CUTTING SUPPORT…deepening injustice Disabled people who are also part of marginalised communities-such as Black, Asian and minority ethnic groups, LGBTQ+ individuals, migrants, or women-often face multiple layers of discrimination #TakingThePIP #DisabilityRebellion #StopTheCuts #WelfareNotWarfare

“The DWP is facing an online “rebellion” over its cuts to both PIP & UC. It comes in the form of a virtual protest on 7 June. And the organiser says that her and her friends are doing it because house-or bed-bound people ‘deserve to have their voices heard, too’.” ✊ www.thecanary.co/uk/news/2025...

Andrew Western MP needs to treat his disabled constituents with more respect. “He's DWP. He has unfollowed constituents including former Labour members & cllrs who helped get him elected but dared question him.” - constituent #DisabilityRebellion #StopTheCuts #WelfareNotWarfare #TakingThePIP

Welcome to the Hall of Shame Keir Starmer! You’ve landed yourself in here for your cruel policies towards disabled people. #DisabilityRebellion #StopTheCuts #WelfareNotWarfare #TakingThePIP

Happy Pride Month! 🏳️‍🌈 ALT: animated graphic with the Pride colours in the background and the words “Happy Pride”. A fist with the Pride colours in the middle. Below it, the words “Love from Disability Rebellion.”

"It breaks my heart to know so many people in a country as wealthy and developed as UK are experiencing hunger... the reality of these cuts will be parents in disabled families having to skip meals so that they can feed their children." #DisabilityRebellion #WelfaNotWarfare #TakingThePIP

“As a disabled person in the media, I want to help give this issue a voice. It's morally wrong for the government to target those in need instead of saving money by targeting the real causes of this crisis." #DisabilityRebellion #TakingThePIP #WelfareNotWarfare

What Rosie Jones says about the #DisabilityBenefits cuts: "Disabled people are scared of what the future holds if there's cuts to disability payments, as they are already not enough to cover life's essentials.” #DisabilityRebellion #StopTheCuts #WelfareNotWarfare #TakingThePIP

This is the start of my series naming and shaming MPs who support the #DisabilityBenefits cuts. They must be held to account for their cruelty. They will not be forgiven at the ballot box. #DisabilityRebellion #TakingThePIP #WelfareNotWarfare #StopTheCuts

“It’s not radical to say that corporations shouldn’t profit from the water coming out of taps, or that extreme wealth ought to be taxed fairly – it’s just that no one is willing to say it.” - www.independent.co.uk/voices/green...

Keir Starmer talks about 'tweaks' to the system. Rachel Reeves & Liz Kendall are determined to continue with their devastating cuts. Cuts that will Cost the government More... www.theguardian.com/commentisfre...

Dear Reform voters, Name one thing that Nigel Farage has built that benefits wider society. One thing he has “changed for good”, as he puts it, during a political career that spans four decades. I’ll wait.

It bothers me greatly that so few climate activists are saying anything about how CAPITALISM is causing ecocide.

Reminder: You never truly know what someone is going through. Everyone faces their own difficult battles-often ones only they can fully understand. Choose compassion over judgement. #DisabilityRebellion

Learning several languages to prepare me for my future in TESOL teaching. I’m learning Spanish (though this is brushing up because I grew up speaking both English and Spanish), Dutch, German, French and Norwegian. It is wild how easy German, Dutch and Norwegian is. They’re so similar to English.

We are holding an online protest to support the People’s Assembly protest on 7th June from 12pm onwards on all our platforms. The aim is to post as much as we can about disability rights and the cuts using the hashtags #WelfareNotWarfare #TakingThePIP #StopTheCuts #TaxTheRich #DisabilityRebellion

I believe in a world that treats disabled people as people. This should not be controversial! Join the Rebellion: linktr.ee/disabilityre... For the discord invite, dm me and I’ll send you the link. #WelfareNotWarfare #StopTheCuts #taxtherich #TakingThePIP #DisabilityRebellion

The Truth: In 2024, the UN condemned the UK for grave, systematic violations of disabled people's rights — citing cuts to housing and care. Now the Government plans more benefit cuts. Our community can't take more. Ask your Government to STOP #TakingThePIP

Let’s hope this is true. But the cuts should be stopped entirely, not “softened down.” #StopTheCuts Ministers look at softening UK welfare cuts to avert rebellion by Labour MPs www.ft.com/content/1139...

Vile article, without any evidence to back up this claim: “Some people on benefits are faking it. There, I’ve said it”. www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2025/05/22/some-people-on-benefits-are-faking-it-welfare-economy-uk/ The archived (free) version of the article: archive.is/202505271614...

As a disabled person, I’ve watched helplessly was govts punch down on disabled people. My mistake was thinking I was helpless. A butterfly flapping its wings in one part of the world can hypothetically trigger a hurricane in another. We are not powerless. #takingthepip #DisabilityRebellion

This is brilliant from #TakingThePIP Open Letter: Demand to Immediately Withdraw Planned Cuts to Disability Benefits takingthepip.co.uk/#letter

Labour is taking the Pip – and disabled people have had enough #TakingThePIP www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2025/may/27/labour-taking-the-pip-disabled-people

Stop PIP Cuts: Protect Support for Disabled People We call on the UK govt to reverse the changes to PIP. These cuts unfairly target disabled people who rely on PIP for essential support. We would like fair and compassionate welfare policies that protect the most vulnerable in society.

This "divided" is puzzling. The reasons to support these cuts are nonsense: "We're about improving life outcomes and being ambitious for those people who maybe need a bit more encouragement." Right. So why are you taking away the disability benefit (PIP) that helps people be independent and work?

“We are deeply concerned about increasing proposals, delays, and cuts that threaten to weaken or remove EHCPs for thousands of children across the country with talks considering the possible removal of them for children in mainstream school settings.” Please sign:
