I write social issues and SFF novels and love talking with other writers. I have two daughters whom I adore, two dogs whom I usually like, and a nerd-cool husband. I'm a playwright and former newspaper reporter who published a book on computer folklore

My daughter's at Harvard, and forwarded the letter it sent out to students/faculty regarding White House attacks to force Harvard to submit to gov control and censorship. The WH excuse about "protecting students from anti-Semitism" by censoring and bullying colleges is bullshit. I'm furious.

An elderly holocaust survivor confronts ICE and Tom Homan. His bravery after what he has experienced and endured shows his incredible indomitable spirit even the Nazis couldn’t crush. #MomSky

Hank Azaria demonstrates in today's NYT website how AI can't mimic the innate genius of human creativity. It's an amazing article. I love this guy. Can't help but be aware that AI is also spellchecking me and anticipating what I'll write next, which is irritating/creepy.

The Trump supporters i know will believe anything they're told. One, a relative, yelled at me that Putin would NOT invade Ukraine because his "news" sources said so. Despite the truth, he still follows those sources. This deliberate gullibility alarms me. At some point, it has to crack. Right?

Sometimes I get letters published in the New York Times. No money, but so much glory. Would rather have the money. This is from 10/15/2023. I wish The Big Gretch had run, but doubt that today's America is ready for a female president. Sweden, India, & a dozen more countries are ahead of us on that.

I'm pretty inept at mood boards, but here's a few photos about my vampire's therapy dog comic horror novel. Though pork rinds play a role, the nachos rule. You can forgive a vampire who likes nachos of almost anything. x.com/KarlaJenning...

I caught this bug through my windshield months ago. I'd love to run into him (not literally) to find out why he's so small and furious.

This photo inspired me to write The Vampire's Therapy Dog, for my dog is truly a lord of darkness.
