This goldfinch wants to know why the hummingbirds hang out here. Also wants to know where his dinner is...

The Sage Brush Nectar Bar is open for business. The hummingbirds have been taking advantage.

Not sure what it's called but it sure is making the backyard look classy. Spring - time for Ma Nature to show off

Hey! You with the phone in your face- This rhodie wants Attention! It gets this beautiful only once a year and you better notice her efforts.

Look who was enjoying the Spring sunshine in the backyard. Didn't get his name before he slithered away.

Calling all pollinators! They're so WHITE it hurts to look at them. Love me some sunshine...

A little hard to see 'cause this bumblebee is hard at work with his head stuck in an early flower. The world goes on despite the foolishness of man.

Look what I found down by the river bank. Apparently rumors of Spring are NOT greatly exaggerated. Lets hear for sunshine!

The one change that worked: I found an escape from online life by swapping my home office for the library

Dusting of snow topped the hills around the valley this am. Saw a bald eagle steal breakfast from a seagull on our pond walk. The seagull was pissed and chased him halfway over the prison before deciding an easier meal could be had back at the pond. Nature’s drama.

The heron surveying its domain. On our chilly pond walk this am.

On our daily walk: watching the ducks and other water fowl slip and slide as they navigate the ice around the edges of the fishing pond. Always something new to note as Ma Nature makes daily changes.

Bacon! What more needs to be said?

Ma Nature is starting to process the branch that made a surprise landing in the backyard. Neighbor called it a Turkey Tail shroom. How long does it take a hungry mushroom to eat a log?

The arachnids at the local pond have some repairs to do after this mornings frost.

Caught this guy spying on me and the dog this am. Birds aren't real!

Weathered end of an oak log. Interesting pattern.
