Finance Committee text is out - this has the Medicaid cuts and the tax cuts. Will go through it in this thread. But what we can say for certain is that, like the House version, this would be BY FAR the largest Medicaid cuts in history, kicking many millions of people off their health insurance.

One thing I have not seen much grappling with: the Trump Administration has acted illegally with respect to the National Guard & Marines in LA plus the whole parade nonsense is a federal show of power, but cops ostensibly controlled by local governments in blue cities attacked protestors yesterday.

Lots of folks see yesterday’s peaceful No Kings march as an indication that Seattle police are “the good ones.” Consider instead that the police can choose a measured response, but often don’t. Harrell is up for election and unpopular; cops in polo shirts is better optics than riot gear.
