Ha… Haha…. Hahahahahaha HAHAHAHAHAHA <more maniacal noises>

www.sciencealert.com/common-energ... As someone who powers through some days on energy drinks… maybe I’m gonna find an alternative.

I used to design networks to use cool technology to do special tricks that amazed people. Now I just design them so nobody talks about it. 😅

Something I’ve learned about myself lately, and I’m not sure it’s a good thing — I really, REALLY enjoy obscure and difficult to solve systems/networking problems. I don’t know if I would fare well at a place without difficult challenges to solve. I need it.

Finished the sleeve tonight. He restored my old washed out lions like a full home renovation. 😆

Am I passionate about tech, or passionate about feeding my family?

Seems like everything is going well if we’re gonna reshape child labor laws to put the 14 year olds to work.

If you’re on the fence about signing on to that @eff.org letter to support @thekrebscycle.bsky.social , please consider doing it sooner rather than later. Don’t wait until there’s no one left to speak for you. #RSAC2025 www.cnn.com/2025/04/30/p...

Just healed up from the last round. I said as my kids got older I would finally finish up this piece. Elbow to go… but I am so happy with how this came out. My dude is awesome. #tattoo

Speaking as someone who has spent decades working in cybersecurity, and even longer as a hacker... This is exactly what you do when you hack/penetrate a system illicitly, and don't want to be caught/tracked. This is not something you do when you are working on a system legitimately.

Here’s a question I have regarding #networkautomation for you teams that are doing large scale, orchestrated changes. I have preferences, but how are YOU solving for connectivity dependency? ie: a large change that may take out your connectivity and consequently your automation mid-stream.

How is this not everywhere on the news? This is probably bigger than the Snowden disclosures.

Spotify dropped this band on my recommendations. If you like metal, these dudes from Bloodywood are absolutely ripping off bangers. Yes, it’s Indian metal. Yes, they shred! open.spotify.com/album/4ZNvlZ...

Finally back to focusing on network automation projects at work. This is my favorite subject matter. I’ve been neglecting this part of my brain for so long it’s been depressing me.

My youngest’s April Fools prank on me. Spoilers, no money in the makeshift envelope. 🥲

The benefit of having massive anxiety about failure and always overthinking is that you’ll never underthink. Or something.

Just got 92Gbps perf (on a 100G NIC) in Cilium across bare metal nodes. Yooooo WHAT?? 🔥

Getting pigeoned into a role is usually the death knell for me. I get an inordinate amount of anxiousness when I feel it oncoming (it’s always networking), as I like to get my hands on as many things as possible to keep sharp. I love networking, but I really dislike living in a bubble.

I was dealing with IRQs today. I’m finished with computing.

Kube networking performance issues are the absolute worst thing to try and troubleshoot. Abstraction of my sanity.

They said Father Time was undefeated, but I don’t think I believe it.
