Three months. Second draft. One very tired person.

As we wind down the andor posting i would like to note the beautiful symmetry of Nemik's manifesto boiling down to "i have friends everywhere" while the isb eats itself and the conference room gets emptier and emptier

I was invited onto one of the best star wars podcasts to discuss the poltics of Andor, and we accidently went on for more than two hours. Pour yourself a big cup of caf for this one!

Actually can’t sleep. Gonna miss #andor so much.

i really really hate how many people on the left are responding to good advice on dealing with ICE with "so they don't abide by the law anyway" ignore people who tell you not to take basic safety precautions like knowing your rights. those people aren't your friends

They're calling her the most vindicated girl of the 21st century Moreover, ICE must be destroyed

As soon as you start reading history you discover that the concept of national borders is shockingly new. And as soon as you read about authoritarian governments you realize that border walls are in fact cages.

*No spoilers in the replies, please. Give folks time to watch.* I’m just gonna say this: Let Syril Karn’s arc serve as a lesson to all men right now. Especially the young men contributing to the startling turns we’ve seen in voter stats. Let it be a fucking guiding example of where it goes. #Andor

Theory: Syril is the actual viewer surrogate in Andor, a show that knows you think you’re Cassian.

The second burning of The Library of Alexandria by the dumbest people in history

it has taken me a minute to finish, but if you’re a 19th century american history/legal theory nerd you will love this book yalebooks.yale.edu/book/9780300...

She had someone in her life she felt like she could trust. She abused that trust and he was violent towards her, then he died. Shes morning a man she tried to love, and a relationship she used for her own benefit.

Andor ended on such a perfect note. The moment when Andor turned to the camera and said ‘I am a communist now’ and then specified hes the exact kind of communist i am was particularly brilliant

It’s weird, I didn’t feel horrified when I watched that scene, I just felt this yawning emptiness. I was almost resigned to it, like: this was always going to happen.

We have reached the point where comparing Andor to the rest of the Star Wars universe is no longer fair. Its comparables are … The Wire. Breaking Bad. Band of Brothers. Someone please make Tony Gilroy the Kevin Feige of Star Wars.

Andor is fundamentally a story about a leftist anarchist group that gets co-opted by a religious cult that ultimately reinstates the same structures of oppression that led to the anarchists being necessary in the first place in this essay I will —

There is going to be a nuclear war in our lifetimes

Andor (2022- )

I think a lot about what Carl Sagan said in one of his final interviews.

I should never have started watching sports my mental health can’t take this #arsenal

AMCA playing through KOTOR 2 is going to be the funniest possible thing

Apropos of nothing: 1) No I don’t think Vader would care. 2) Yes the Empire absolutely would. 3) Good grief.

Watching Season 2 of Andor (no spoilers) one of whose central messages seems to be “do whatever you can to resist fascism, despite being absolutely terrified of the consequences”, and for that reason alone I love it.

first three episodes of Andor 2 were great. Didn't expect to see so much of my favorite TV movie, Conspiracy. And it ended with eternally solid tactical advice: When you're under fire, cover and concealment beats moving fast in the open almost every time.

alright so any worry that Season 2 of Andor wouldn't hold up has been blasted aside that was as good as it could've been and I would be shocked if those Space Wannsee conference scenes weren't influenced by Conspiracy (with Stanley Tucci as Eichmann!)

Just like doing anything that isn't actively fighting increasingly feels like being in the Andor wedding while you cut back to the stormtroopers black bagging farm workers Moreover, ICE must be destroyed

Andor is great because it understands what Star Wars is fundamentally about: someone pressing a button and the thing they wanted the button to do not happening

Arsenal advance to the Champions League Semi-Final!

Guy who hated Sekiro:

Fairly undeniable at this point that abolish ICE was always the only reasonable position

Losing a league title to Liverpool is never shameful; losing in the manner we’ve lost is ridiculous. We were never even close to them.

@miawong.bsky.social is so depressed in the latest It Could Happen Here episode omdz

Thrilled to announce this new YA duology from the brilliant @tlotlotsamaase.bsky.social! THE BLOODWINDS will sweep you away into a dystopian Botswana, where Earth is fighting for its life, releasing deadly winds and vicious sprites, and a young girl holds the future in her hands…

This reeks of the sort of half-cocked Dunning-Kruger decision that got me thinking I could knock out a narrative history of China in a couple of dozen episodes at most…

ITS TIME TO OWN THE LIBS

One of the options is, obviously, to never have another election ever again and therefore term limits become irrelevant. www.theguardian.com/us-news/2025...
