My sister left the room and my 9yo niece started cracking me up with her best illegal phrases (lots of funny quotes with swears.) Once I caught my breath I told her she should be careful, if her mom hears she’ll get in trouble. She grinned and said, “When the cat’s away, the mice will play.”
