Reading now! Utopia by Sir Thomas More. A classic social commentary on the times of the author. I am looking forward to something that has baked-in critical analysis, need something more thought provoking after a few relatively simplistic books. 💙📚

current read. a double feature of two books I haven't visited since grade school. I really enjoyed my time with Mutiny on the Bounty earlier this year and wanted to get back into a seafaring adventure, but why only have one when I have this edition that gives me two?

Reading now! Doctor No by Ian Fleming A man who needs no introduction, this is some vintage spy-novel nonsense. I have never read any James Bond and I am interested to see how the tone of the book and the movie compare and contrast. 📚💙

Finished this book! Overall a good read, really enjoyed Irving talking about the environs and inhabitants of his stay, and while I appreciate his tale-telling capturing the spirit of the place, it did feel like they were all variations on a theme. Overall would-recommend.
