Much as I would not dare to predict the consequences of this war, I do think we can summarize it thusly so far: A smart and evil man manipulated a stupid and evil man into a war against a fanatical and evil regime.

What an odd little idea that is absolutely going to blow up in their faces.

Call it something fancy like "malfeasance" or something simple like "incompetence" but either way there should be articles of impeachment to remove the HHS secretary for being a shameless liar who is working relentlessly to make people sick.

So much winning.

Trump has set up a new club where CEOs, tech bros, and foreign oligarchs can pay $500,000 to join in order to get access to the Trump Cabinet who will all be there regularly. Just because the grift is all public doesn’t mean this isn’t the most corrupt White House in history.

Gélineau advanced the term "narcolepsy" in 1880 while de la Tourette described his eponymous syndrome in 1885. "Autism" was coined by Bleuler in 1911, with full diagnoses soon after. But what do I know? I'm not the Cabinet secretary in charge of the goddamn Department of Health and Human Services.

Trump orders government to stop tracking cancers in U.S. firefighters. www.politico.com/news/2025/04...

Today is tax day. Despite Trump’s campaign promises, there is still tax on tips, overtime, and Social Security.

Holy shit: “The new revelations about DOGE's activities…come from a whistleblower [inside NLRB]…His attempts to raise concerns internally…preceded someone ‘physically taping a threatening note’ to his door that included…overhead photos of him walking his dog that appeared to be taken with a drone…”

Courage is contagious. If prestigious schools cannot stand up to the most threatening regime to academia in American history, how can they truly educate their students? How can they answer to their alumni?

Welp, got an answer to this question: Apparently the answer is no tariffs are being collected. Trump broke the system www.cnbc.com/2025/04/11/c...

Not a single word to help the 33m small businesses in this country. Not from anyone in the administration. So many buy from China, and don't have alternatives. So many didn't have the cash to front run the tariffs and buy inventory

Who else do we think he tipped off? Putin, MBS, his kids, Elon? Possible Trump made a whole bunch of people very, very rich today, illegally, of course.

Alright, I think people knew of the tariff pause and traded it beforehand. You can see before Trump posted "buy" on Truth Social, traders opened $QQQ $TQQQ and $SPY calls RIGHT BEFORE THE NEWS, someone opened $SPY 509 calls, expiring TODAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Those calls are up 2100% in one hour.

TRUMP DITCHES FALLEN SOLDIERS' DIGNIFIED TRANSFER FOR GOLF DINNER Trump won't attend the dignified transfer of 4 U.S. soldiers at Dover AFB who died in Lithuania. He'll be at his Saudi-backed LIV Golf dinner in Florida instead. The soldiers were honored by Lithuania's president.

Oh my God... it was all ChatGPT. They didn't even care enough about the American economy to do any of the work themselves. It almost feels... impeachable? How could sloppily using AI to create domestic policy, then hiding it, be consistent with the Oath of Office?

Donald Trump has committed the most profound, harmful and unnecessary economic error in the modern era. Almost everything he said—on history, economics and the technicalities of trade—was utterly deluded econ.st/3YbbFjq

You have to see this. PoliticsGirl and her husband teamed up with the brilliant Timothy Snyder (author of On Tyranny) and the legendary John Lithgow to create something truly powerful. It’s important, it’s urgent—and it needs to be shared far and wide.

People were mean to him on Twitter, so he bought Twitter. People were still mean to him, so he bought the US government. And he is going to use it to hunt down those bad people!

The censorship on Twitter was just too much. A 98% drop in engagement since Musk bought it. From a little over 1,000,000 views a week to less than 17,000. So we moved on over to blue sky. Follow us here at @altyellonatpark.org Because somebody somewhere Needs flowers tonight

Seismic scoop from @lenasun.bsky.social: A long-time anti-vaxer who was disciplined for practising medicine without a license has been selected by #HHS to conduct the study RFK Jr. wants looking yet again at whether vaccines cause autism. www.washingtonpost.com/health/2025/...

Based on the replies l, it looks like there a lot of fed workers on @bsky.app I just wanted to say THANK YOU. I can't imagine the shit you are going through right now Thanks for your service to our country

I said it and mean it. "At least one Democratic attorney on Tuesday threatened legal action. Marc Elias, who has been the subject of Trump’s ire, said in a social media post: 'This will not stand. We will sue.'" apnews.com/article/voti...

Yesterday’s news was proof that the you don’t need a “coveted” pass for the White House daily briefing to get the inside scoop.

Warner, with Gabbard and Ratcliffe sitting in front of him: "If this was the case of a military officer or an intelligence officer and they had this kind of behavior, they would be fired."

If only America would protect school children the way it protects Teslas.

There's a reason why they're freaking out over what's happening to Tesla. It's working. There's a reason they're threatening absurd consequences. They need to scare you back into civility and compliance. As long as we're reluctant to cross the lines they ignore daily, they have the upper hand.

This. Right. Here.

Figured I’d hop on here today for the 15th anniversary of the Affordable Care Act. With everything going on right now, it’s easy to feel like regular folks can’t make a difference – but the ACA is a reminder that change is possible when we fight for progress.

I don’t know who needs to hear this, but “I was only following orders” was rejected as a defense at the Nuremberg Trials.

Something to think about

It’s day 57 of the Trump administration. Prices are sky-high. Markets have crashed. Measles is spreading. Benefits are under attack. But in good news, Donald Trump got a drone light show.

FWIW, @jasonleopold.bsky.social's FOIA newsletter is available w/o paywall.

Musk's censorship algorithm on Twitter reduced our audience by about 95% since he bought it. So we moved over to blue sky. Help us build another great following right here where the skies are clear and the water is fine ;-) Please do Follow Retweet & repeat

For the first time in 83 years, the voice of America fell silent this weekend. For more than eight decades, that voice had (not always consistently) championed democratic values, challenged tyrants and bullies. This weekend, Donald Trump silenced it. open.substack.com/pub/charlies...

This is outrageous

When I wrote my camps book, people sometimes had difficulty understanding how concentration-camp regimes were proud of what they were doing and wanted attention for it, even as they also hoped to keep many aspects secret and terrorize vulnerable classes. Anyway, this is what that looks like.
