Netanyahu Calls Iran Strikes Necessary To Prevent War He Just Started

Even though it's tiring, I think it's essential to consistently point out that this is illegal.

Once again, it seems to me that when a court finds the president is doing something wildly unconstitutional, it is dangerous and unhealthy that we default to “but let him keep doing it until multiple layers of review all agree.”

We need answers about what happened on Alderaan and assurances from the Empire that it won’t happen again.

History will not be kind to Speaker Johnson. Nor should it be.

Last night, @bradlander.bsky.social and I exposed Andrew Cuomo's record of corruption, scandal and disgrace on the debate stage. With early voting starting tomorrow, we're cross-endorsing to defeat the ex-Gov. and win a city everyone can afford. Rank Brad #2!

Uh, whose fault is this?

A man with a green card said ICE agents arrested him in #Lynn, Mass then took him to a detention facility—but first made a detour to a cemetery, where they took him out of their vehicle and beat him. #mapoli #Massachusetts

“if they can do this to a senator they can do this to anybody” they already are doing it to everybody wtf do you think weve been saying

We are 5 months into a brazenly lawless administration and the Democrats’ primary tactic for holding them accountable is to ask for Republican permission to consider the idea of future consequences

This is fascism in action. No due process, following the whims of an all powerful leader, no rule of law.

Sen. Padilla: I'm Senator Alex Padilla. (Agents talk to themselves: Padilla? Sounds Spanish. That’s reason enough! You're under arrest!) #FuckTrump

Any christians on our side, use this against your heretics...

In this regime, your name determines your fate. Donald Trump becomes president, while his distant cousin Donaldo Trumpo finds himself deported to El Salvador. #FuckTrump

This is a great piece about the human cost of trump's policies.

Oregon just passed a law stopping schools from banning books just because LGBTQ+ people wrote them www.lgbtqnation.com/2025/06/oreg...

If working hard was how you got rich and powerful, we wouldn't have ANY of the ****s who are currently in charge.

I'm just naturally going to gravitate towards the places where I receive the fewest rape threats and I really haven't thought about it much beyond that

Worth considering that one reason Bluesky doesn't always feel super fun is that current events are relentlessly horrifying and bad

The High Court has just given judgment in @goodlawproject.bsky.social's favour dismissing the application made by the EHRC's landlord for an injunction to criminalise protests at the EHRC offices (and which the EHRC encouraged its landlord to obtain). caselaw.nationalarchives.gov.uk/ewhc/kb/2025...

some right-winger looked up a jacket I was wearing and is mad that it was expensive when it was for sale in like 2014 and I really don't know how to explain the concept of thrifting to them

This looks like the most unsurprising chart I've ever seen, but if you only read British media you'd lose your mind learning that this is the reality of it

If you are dumb or naive enough to believe the grifters on the right who tell you they’re oppose to immigration because it drives down wages for native-born workers, just ask them 1) if they support raising the minimum wage and 2) how come the GOP doesn’t? Go ahead.

Springsteen is giving pro-America, anti-authoritarian speeches and right wing media is portraying him as anti-American. Which is pretty revealing.

If anyone thinks ‘the daily mail aren’t that bad’ please take a look at the horrible nonsense they’re saying about Greta Thunberg right now. Grotesque.

Rep. Lynch: "In late March, ICE agents wearing masks detained Rümeysa Öztürk. And those of you who watched that abduction, when you compare the old films of the Gestapo grabbing people off the streets of Poland ... it does look like the Gestapo."

She's right. But the problem is she is not serious, and she is not on the centre-right. Indeed, she is so unserious that 'where on the political spectrum is Kemi Badenoch?' is actually a very difficult question to answer, it's like having to adjudicate 'how bacon is a table?'

The U.K. doing really half hearted attempts of ‘sanctioning’ Israel, so that whenever you say they are aiding and abetting genocide (they are) they can go well: we told the worst person imaginable they can’t come here, whilst we continue to send weapons to Israel and share intelligence from Cyprus

New euphemism for authoritarian lawlessness just dropped

I detest this kind of game-playing... Tories: "Labour's doing XYZ bad thing." Labour: "That's rich. When you were in office, you did XYZ too." Labour supporters: "Ha! That showed 'em. Love you, Labour! Keep up the fab work." NO. If XYZ is wrong, it's wrong no matter who is doing it, or did it.

Robbers pretending to be ICE agents….

Now that’s some good parenting…

While the British media cheerlead for the far-right Reform party, there's close to zero coverage of the significant gains the Green party are making in council elections.

The cruelty in today's politics feels horribly corrosive. Bringing up that hard-working immigrant families — undocumented, yes, but not violent criminals — are being ripped apart based on immigration status doesn't bring compassion or even pause, but gleeful cheers.

"About 300,000 deaths, most of them children." Currently watching and judging people who are talking about getting Musk to work with the Democrats, as if politics were a sport and no-one else in the world existed apart from American citizens.

There is only 1 criteria for article 8 rights to "apply" and that is being a human being. If she made an argument that restriction of article 8 was necessary in a democratic society, she would at least be making a legal argument. But this is both legally nonsensical and dehumanising.

Head of the EHRC saying that she doesn't think trans people in the UK should have the European Convention on Human Rights Article 8 right to private life Also worth noting that demanding random cis people "prove" they are cis also violates their privacy rights too

My relatives keep asking me how we're doing in the riots. I say, you mean the police riots? Cuz no one else is rioting.

since i'm apparently already feeling angry and vindictive today it feels like a good time to ask where the "don't call Trump fascist" debate has landed, you know, post-secret police

A terrifying escalation:
