I will say again, Ireland has many many problems but it is very nice to live in a country where you can protest against ethnic cleansing without the police coming to arrest you

Anyone know what’s happening with Fulbright? Still frozen? Next year canceled? Any updates?

re the previous repost: if they can disappear permanent residents they can disappear citizens

This. This should be five alarm fire type emergency for the rule of law.

Somehow I made it to Friday. This semester is full of the best students. Anyone know what could be making me feel exhausted? 🤔

Our Smeg finally died. It was a good six and a half years!!

David Niven's birthday, is it? Time once more for The Greatest Picture Ever Taken, then.

The not swearing part of Ramadan always takes me a few days. Especially THIS year.

Wrote hardly anything this week. Might need a social media break or a news break or just an overall break. Hang in there, friends.

Not on here much or anywhere else because people are super nasty these days and I keep on having to block people. Why? Because they are hateful. I’m not “hypersensitive” I just don’t have the patience for ridiculous people. Ramadan Mubarak

Ramadan Mubarak and my baklava season has begun.

Made four bean pies and this is all that was left. Four!

It’s a struggle every day between stay in bed and eat ten pounds of chocolate OR get up, teach, write, love, and laugh. Doing the best I can.

Who else is fatigued all the time from this chaotic 💩 show? 👋

Kendrick’s American flag motif at THIS MOMENT is subversive. Yes, yes, yes.

I’m just staying busy to stay sane. Finished a book manuscript Monday, a book review yesterday, then reviewed a book proposal. Going to go bake coconut ricotta cake now.

1,556 footnotes, 425 pages, 11 chapters. My fifth book has a completed manuscript! I’ll be editing/tweaking over the next couple of months but it’s pretty done. Book cover coming soon. Book Number 5!!!

Yes I’m almost done with this book. One chapter left to finish. Also the book cover is going to be amazing!

The baby tried to eat face cleanser today and then ate two lamb chops. It’s been a day.

Edited another chapter so def time for some chocolate.

Got a massage today and it helped but I think the 390-page book that’s still unfinished is maybe making my body hurt.

Tis the season for napping. Baby is still nursing and so I’m still needing naps a few times a week. Sometimes coffee is just useless.

Oh man.

We are doomed

I’ve edited the first three chapters of this book so just six more to go. Celebration/Exhaustion.

The image I found for my book cover is so perfect. 🩷❤️

Melbourne Uni has curated a collection of Decoloniality, First Nations Thinkers & Thought & Practices from the Global South of 677 items. Two years in the making. Not posting much on here until this book manuscript is done. Goal is January 15. Send all the good energies. (Not sure I’ll make this deadline but *trying).

In 1772, twice-widowed 72-yr-old Mary Delany, already known for fine embroidery designs (at L), embarked on successful new career, deftly using scissors to create meticulously-accurate “mosaicks” of flowers, with 100s of tiny bits of watercoloured paper (at R) blog.britishmuseum.org/late-bloomer...

Think I figured out how to divide up Monster Chapter. Thanks to @zahraayubi.bsky.social

That end of semester exhaustion and major things this week and next. Send coffee and chocolate.
