My ancestors crossed the Atlantic three centuries ago and I am an American in the exact same way as the infant child of undocumented immigrants born here yesterday. There is no difference between us, their right to this country no less than mine. We are entirely equal and I will accept nothing else.

About 20 years ago I paid USD $40,000 for 4 years of daycare & preschool. I was a professor & it was ~17% of my gross salary. No grandparent support; nobody’s fault, life happened. I literally couldn’t afford to have a 2nd kid.
