It is wild that we haven't found a proper cure for hangovers yet.

When the iPhone was first announced it was fascinating. It sold well, everyone wanted one, and even though it didn't do much to start with, there was so much obvious immediate potential.

Things I noticed about the US: There are so many old people just everywhere. Maybe this is only in contrast to London, but even in New York I was shocked at how many old people were around. The "boomers" really were a boom, huh! It's noticeable in the US that they outnumber other generations.

Having now been to New York I think I get American exceptionalism.

I was in America for a week, without my phone. What did I miss?

Seriously considering a week without social media. I'm travelling so it will be pretty easy to switch off and I could really use the break.

Having to pack for a trip and I swear I own clothes but apparently I don't? How do people know what they're going to need for a full week.

Next week I will be in the US South and I'm attending a business drinks event that is cowboy themed. How does one dress as a cowboy in the US South, as a Brit, and not look wild?

I thought I had only bruised my knees and maybe ribs but I kept waking up last night because my shoulders hurt. Tough Mudder didn't feel super hard, but it sure left its mark!

I did a tough mudder yesterday and didn't realise they had an ultra version as well. Chatting to some of the ultra competitors during my 5k, they'd done 50k+ by that point. It was such a hilly course as well!

I want this conclave to last an entire year, maybe two. I want the remaining cardinals to leave the Sistine Chapel all skinny and afraid of the sunlight.

As is typical for ultras, the #Cocadona250, a 250m race, is actually 256.5 miles. And that's before you account for getting lost!

I've now worked at my current company for 10 years. Wild.

Why doesn't Bluesky have an option of de-prioritising "interests" you don't care for? In the content settings you can set preferred topics, but you can't say you dislike certain topics.

My shower is back as a high pressure shower and it is the best fucking thing ever.

Ordered an iced latte instead of an espresso and the barista brought it over looking puzzled, "is this true? I don't believe it!"

How do people both lift weights and run distances? My legs are absolutely dead two days after a fairly light leg day. I don't wanna walk, let alone run!

The thing about the UK is whenever anything breaks or stops working, we complain about it but we don't fix it. Every house you ever go in has a thing "that just does that," every office has a broken lock on at least one door, or a tap you need to fiddle with to get it to work.

Finally had an engineer out to check my water pressure (after so many emails to the management company, they needed director approval??) and it was low! Vindicated! The guy fixed it and now my shower is amazing again.

I guess what I really want is to find a magical London borough that has hipster coffee shops, a nice park, local shops (butcher, green grocer, maybe a fishmonger or a cheesemonger?), a private powerlifter/strongman gym, but where I can afford to buy a house with a garden.

Last night I had a dream about being in a meeting with the head of facilities at work trying to get a higher desk allocation for my department. Dynamic hotdesking within assigned neighbourhoods as an approach to dynamic working is so frustrating.

The Terror is so intense. (I'm talking about the TV show but I guess it also applies more generally.)

What living hell are we living in where the "equality and human rights" commission is advocating for the removal of a minority group from society. Oh, the UK? Right. I am so angry it's raising my body temperature.

On holiday next week and so it looks like London will be sunny again.
