Travel ban, yawn. He’s playing the greatest hits like Styx at the tribal casinos.

Great Francesco Onorio action in our lean, mean tribute to the #Chainsaw era of #grindhouse in Issue #5 of Drive-in Kings of 1977. Still time to get on board:  www.kickstarter.com/projects/dri...

Hurry before the redneck cannibals getcha' ! Kickstarter campaign for Drive-in Kings of 1977 #5 ends Tuesday: www.kickstarter.com/projects/dri...

Great chat with Philtastic on YouTube can be replayed here for deep background on the Drive-in Kings origin story, in-joke references etc: www.youtube.com/live/fRYwKjs...

Trying a different variant cover as Kickstarter landing page thumbnail. We're calling the fake poster a tribute to Crown International Pictures. Too obscure a reference? Issue #5 campaign here: www.kickstarter.com/projects/dri...

A little promo vid for our Issue #5 campaign (fun with the audio on!).... www.kickstarter.com/projects/dri... We're more than half funded in less than two days!

How much do people love the Drive-in Kings? We're half funded in little over a day! Get on board the cruise wagon. It's a cut-up: www.kickstarter.com/projects/dri...

Kickstarter campaign for Issue #5 is live! www.kickstarter.com/projects/dri.... Already rip-sawed a third of the way toward the goal on Day 1 -- Hop on board the cruise wagon and join the fun!

Promo video for Issue #5 - 42 seconds of fun! Sign up here to be notified when campaign launches (probably Monday): www.kickstarter.com/projects/dri...

This is really unfair to everyone who just voted for him for the racism.

One of the Issue #5 covers will be a return to our fake movie posters in the style of Crown International Pictures. Do us a favor and sign up to be notified upon launch (whenever that is as we sort through the economic craziness): www.kickstarter.com/projects/dri...

Fox News just told us today's market crash is "a rebirth of the American spirit" because we have been in "a depression of purpose" by making so much money. #UpIsDownBlackIsWhite.

I turned on the hearing late and of course the hour was still early, so didn’t line up the shot glasses to play the Hi Bob game whenever a GOP sympathizer said ‘But her emails’

Since we only wish The Atlantic would care about us, we'll declassify our 3rd of 4 covers - this one by the awesome @patrickbuer.bsky.social going full grindhouse: Sign up to be notified of the campaign launch here - Thanks!: www.kickstarter.com/projects/driveinkings1977/drive-in-kings-of-1977-5

A friend who tried to go to the AOC and Bernie rally today simply couldn’t park. Not even at the nearby shopping center. Hope this is reflected in coverage on @maddow.msnbc.com etc - especially if venue doesn’t look full.

We have a preview link for Issue 5! And the thumbnail tile is one of four covers (this one by @jolyonyates.bsky.social. We sleep better when you click to be notified upon launch: www.kickstarter.com/projects/dri...

Why aren’t the presidents of the big airlines on the phone to the White House about FAA cuts? It’s apparently ok to risk lives for political terrorism, but isn’t it also, uh, bad for business?

Wow, Kid Rock and Lee Greenwood are going to have a lot of dates to fill at the Kennedy Center.

On one side of the graph, I age into the demo the Grammys used to be for. On the other, they continue to get less embarrassing. Somewhere the lines intersect, because we’re actually enjoying this year’s with much less smirking and snark.

The flop sweat, the voice quiver — especially in the next CNN stop with Dana Bash — almost made me feel sorry for him between bursts of laughter.

Its #ColoristAppreciation day! So i am going to share a bunch of posts from my favourite colourists, some starter packs and I'll do a seperate thread with some shout outs to people who have a huge help to me and influenced how I work.. but first here a few pages I am most proud of!

Fun to see our book in a display with Jim Lee art, lol.

If the Dems have any balls, every day from now to the midterms there should be an ad showing a different person being beaten on Jan 6 with an arrow to the perp and the word ‘Pardoned!’ on the screen. Every day. @lincolnproject.us?

Johnson on ‘Meet the Press’ predicting ‘a new golden age for America.’ He meant ‘gilded,’ right?

Mailing out Issue 4 of Drive-in Kings of 1977! Ordered a few extra print copies of each cover, but will soo close out late pledges on Kickstarter. Hop in the station wagon while you can if you love #drive-in, #JoeBob, #MST-3000 and #CultMovies in general: www.kickstarter.com/projects/dri...

The art of Drive-in Kings of 1977 #4 is done! The last 8 pages are being lettered. Hoping to print 1st week of Jan. Now that you know it's really happening and (more or less) when, there's still time to get on board before we cut off Kickstarter 'late pledges': www.kickstarter.com/projects/dri...

If you’re a fellow sucker who still hasn’t cut the cable cord, sure you’re paying way too much. But on the other hand, there’s the surprise of turning on CNN and seeing me, me, me! in a four-hour block re-running the Vegas documentary.

‘But the egg prices’ will totally be this time’s ‘But her emails.’

Take a break from the rats that are bringing us down and listen to me and three funny guys talk about the rats we do like, on this Ghost Show Press podcast, 'Ratapalooza!': www.youtube.com/watch?v=wYJV...

My New Oligarchy resolution is to try to post more here and less on the Pretty Hate Machine. My 6th follower happens to be the best writer in comics these days, so consider me motivated.... To begin: I'll be on this podcast Sunday, talking about rat movies and Blobs. www.youtube.com/watch?v=wYJV...

Because it's so much more popular than all that '80s slasher stuff, our next Drive-in genre stop is for the backwoods horror and moonshine-runnin' car-chase flicks that at least somebody somewhere must want to see brought back. Issue 4 live on Kickstarter now: www.kickstarter.com/projects/dri...

Easy there, Beer Zombie dude. Issue 3 is full of Zombies on Wheels. But you have to hurry and score it before Sunday: www.kickstarter.com/projects/dri...

Only a few days left for cult-movie, Joe Bob, MST-3000 fans to hop on board the station wagon with the Drive-in Kings, and see how we mash up iconic B-movies into something new: www.kickstarter.com/projects/dri...

Werewolves on Wheels is on any short list of movie posters that are better/more famous than the actual movie. Randy Nunley did this amazing tribute cover for Issue 3 - campaign live now: www.kickstarter.com/projects/dri...

11 days left to back our Kickstarter. Don't make us have to take you to our leader: www.kickstarter.com/projects/dri...

Less than 48 hours left to back on Kickstarter. Don't leave the Drive-in Kings behind in a cloud of dust! www.kickstarter.com/projects/dri...

Fans of MST-3000, Joe Bob, cult movies in general and even teen comedies (Dazed and Confused in particular) should help us see the Drive-in Kings of 1977 come together on Kickstarter before time runs out: www.kickstarter.com/projects/dri...

Really grateful to John Orlando's PVDcast for a fun chat about the Drive-in Kings project, Vegas entertainment and assorted bucket-list schemes and dreams: pvdcast.com/download/epi...

Fun chat with Kristian Horn's Part-time Fanboy podcast here: Parttimefanboy.com Kickstarter campaign here: www.kickstarter.com/projects/dri...

4) ... So, while I will follow a lot of comics folk since I was told ta lot of them came to seek refuge, here, I hope some Vegas folk connect here as well. Speaking of, I'm also on this CNN documentary 'Vegas: The Story of Sin City' airing for three more Sundays. images.app.goo.gl/KxqsUDXztVEa...

3) ... Now the project I'm having the most fun with is Drive-In Kings of 1977, a self-published comic-book series about cult movies and the drive-in (both as an actual place and all the movies you once would see there).

2)... Those followers mostly came from the entertainment community in Las Vegas and those who wanted to read about Vegas shows. I was an entertainment reporter and columnist at the Las Vegas Review-Journal for a real long time until we ran out of patience with one another.
