This is how you 'encourage' your colleagues to attend a meeting! Chocolate and other snacks! Thank you @herigstad.bsky.social 😊

Michelle and I are thinking of the entire Biden family. Nobody has done more to find breakthrough treatments for cancer in all its forms than Joe, and I am certain he will fight this challenge with his trademark resolve and grace. We pray for a fast and full recovery.

Trump is so good at bankrupting .

As if the 'Trump administration' has not behaved with complete disregard to humanity already, let's create a reality TV show to insult more human beings. How more abhorrent can you really be...? news.sky.com/story/tv-sho...

And we did it! Award winners for "Partnership with Academia" and wonderful recognition of such a brilliant collaboration! Well done to both the @hallam-biosci-chem.bsky.social and @scalpcooling.bsky.social teams!

Did you know… It’s free to publish in Journal of Cell Science – there are no submission charges, page charges or colour fees. We also plant a tree for every peer-reviewed article we publish🌳 For details, visit our website: journals.biologists.com/jcs/pages/re...

I've already 34 requests for peer review this year, and it is exhausting. I've done a third of them, but the current system is simply not sustainable. It's insane to keep asking people to work for free while multibillion pound corporations pocket the rewards free labour

I am grateful to @cancerresearchuk.org for choosing to support our work aiming to understand the links between distorted embryonic development and neuroblastoma initiation using our human pluripotent stem cell differentiation model: www.sheffield.ac.uk/biosciences/...

This is awful. I know some brilliant hardworking people whose grants were cancelled. The loss of their research puts U.S. lives at risk, hurts our economy, + gives EU & Chinese science & biotech a BIG a leg up on us. We in USA will need to buy foreign drugs & vaccines. www.nature.com/articles/d41...

A really nicely done documentary and a lovely conversation with the greek minister of culture in episode 2 tonight. Such a nice interview ending positively by touching on the topic of the return of the Elgin Marbles! 😊

In a new Science study, cryo–electron tomography captures the in-cell architecture of the mitochondrial respiratory chain, illuminating how the coordinated action of molecular machines drives life’s fundamental energy conversion. Learn more in this week's issue: scim.ag/3FA3Ygq

Unbelievable...
