Excited to present our study comparing BTB vs quad tendon autografts for ACL reconstruction today at #POSNA2025

Draymond gave some behind-the scenes-info postgame. On Jimmy: “I know he's not feeling well. Been pretty crappy all day.” On Steph: “He's working his tail off every day. He's in here eight, nine hours a day, working, doing what he can to try to get back.”

Re: "rushing" Curry back for a game 5 if he is not fully ready. In our study (below) of hamstring injuries in NBA players over 5 years, nearly 81% of players suffered a subsequent injury in some part of their body with 37% suffering another hamstring injury. mltj.online/hamstring-in...

Thank you to @abc7news.bsky.social for having me on tonight to discuss injuries impacting the Warriors / Wolves series.

Appreciated my time on @kron4-news.bsky.social yesterday talking about Stephen Curry's injury

Appreciate @abc7news.bsky.social including my thoughts about Stephen Curry's injury in their TV segment yesterday abc7news.com/post/espn-so...

Quick updated breakdown of the Warriors report that Stephen Curry has a grade 1 hamstring injury. There are multiple factors (both on imaging and how he feels) that determine the exact RTP timeline. #DubNation youtube.com/shorts/V_wat...

grade 1 hamstring strain is positive news for Warriors fans and #DubNation  . A grade 1 sprain = microscopic tearing which is much better than the more significant tearing that occurs with a 2 or 3. How he responds to treatment & the MRI specifics will likely determine his RTP with the medical staff

Quick halftime video for #DubNation on the left hamstring strain that was reported by the team that Stephen Curry suffered. There are multiple factors that determine RTP timeline that the medical staff will determine based on exam, imaging, and risk of re-injury. youtube.com/shorts/fHovw...

Quick 🧵on hamstring strains for #DubNation re: the Stephen Curry news. 1. Important thing to understand is that a "strain" is some degree of tearing of the hamstring muscle.

Buddy Hield…..jersey in the office!

Take a break today from thinking about the Warriors loss last night #DubNation and listen to our latest podcast as @brianfeeleymd.bsky.social and I review the role of ACL surgery in preventing arthritis: podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/c...

Who makes the biggest contribution tomorrow night?

Steve Kerr starting Pat Spencer in game 6 would be epic.

Remember that Dillon Brooks was on the 2022 Grizzlies when they claimed Jordan Poole's "slap" injured Ja Morant's knee, and the Grizzlies said Poole had broken "the code." But now Brooks is okay with going after Curry's injured thumb repeatedly and admitting to it post-game

Quick 🧵 on Curry's thumb for #DubNation (of note the Warriors have not stated specifically what the exact injury is so this is more general Swelling of a joint in general typically occurs due an injury to one of the major structures of the joint particulary bone, cartilage, ligaments, or tendons.

Listen to our latest podcast as @brianfeeleymd.bsky.social and I break down the return of Jimmy Butler for #DubNation tonight for the Warriors: peds-ortho.simplecast.com/episodes/jim...

Quick video on deep glute contusions in general for #DubNation re: the Jimmy Butler MRI news just reported. The overall takeaway is that this is relatively good news with pain management being critical for determining return to play. www.youtube.com/shorts/TwX1T...

Wearing the Jimmy Butler jersey in clinic today. Hoping he gets good news on his MRI ! #DubNation

Quick thread on Jimmy Butler's pelvic contusion for #DubNation. As with the injury that Curry suffered, a pelvic contusion is essentially bruising / inflammation to the bones of the pelvis and/or soft tissues in that region......

There may be many teams in these playoffs that may be able to beat the Warriors in an individual game or two due to youth and talent. But I don't believe there are too many that can beat the Warriors in the chess match that is a 7 game series.

LeBron is an amazing player who has had the benefit of being able to use his physical size to augment his tremendous skill. Curry is an amazing player who has had had to unleash his tremendous skill against players of much larger physical size.

Stephen Curry plays playoff basketball tonight

Had the honor to describe what it is like to be an orthopedic surgeon to the 1st graders from Head Royce during their recent field trip to @ucsfchildrens.bsky.social

Houston…..you have a problem. #DubNation

Many people questioned the trade, but Butler has been a perfect fit.

What are your predictions for the Houston series? I am thinking 4-2 Warriors.

Warriors beat Ime Udoka in 2022 to win the title. Warriors will beat Ime Udoka in 2025 to advance to the next round.

Huge game tomorrow night for #DubNation as the Warriors take on the Grizzlies. Listen to our latest podcast as @brianfeeleymd.bsky.social and I break down the basics of thumb injuries and thigh contusions heading into the game: peds-ortho.simplecast.com/episodes/nba...

If the Warriors make an extended playoff run at some point they will need Jonathan Kuminga for his energy and explosiveness; particularly with Curry, Draymond, and Jimmy being older. It may not be consistent playing time in a defined rotation but his youth will be needed.

My real calling was pop a shot basketball

Have to break out the “Night Night” @warriorsworld.bsky.social t-shirt for the early morning travel day

Curry changed the game. LeBron changed teams. 😉 #DubNation

Facts

Kevon Looney and Stephen Curry combined for 13 3 pointers tonight. 😉

Stephen Curry at age 37 is doing the same thing as Stephen Curry from a decade ago. Appreciate the greatness. #DubNation

Re: the GPII injury for #DubNation. If there is no instability and he can do basketball activities, it is possible that this could be a short turn around (i.e. 1-2 weeks) based on pain tolerance. If there is a larger tear with instability, then it could be 4-6 weeks.

Tough news for JuJu Watkins. RTP after ACL reconstruction typically lands between 9 - 12 months after surgery. Good news is that there are multiple studies in women's b-ball players that show a high return to play rate with minimal long-term impact on performance upon return.

Tough news for Lillard. In athletes, lower extremity clots can be caused by a variety of factors including trauma, prolonged immobilization (i.e. travel), post-surgery, and/or due to hereditary disorders. Treatment centers around preventing the clot from getting bigger & traveling to the lungs
