7 plus 9, 16s fine, gonna fuck these goals up one more time!

This is a pretty good talk. www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pef2...

There is no such thing as winning in war.

“We are not afraid!” screamed Frog and Toad at the same time.

I wonder if I've used more or less power by using AI so far than I did during that one month I mined bitcoin...

That moment when "Bulls On Parade" comes on your playlist and you get whipped into a frenzy and feel like taking down the whole system by yourself, but externally you are quietly typing on a computer in a cube...

I do, in fact, know a drugstore cowgirl who is so afraid of getting bored...

People arguing over religions just sound like the old Marvel vs. DC to me. You can argue and approach it from all angles, but in the end it's still all made up and probably designed to sell you something.

Life it too short for shitty headphones.

Recently created a script to pull data from a file and send it to our print portal, updating orders en masse rather than one at a time. Used ChatGPT and a little old-school programming know how and got to a minimum viable product in a few hours. I can now officially add "Vibe Coder" to my resume.

Frog put the cookies in a box. “There,” he said. “Now we will not eat any more cookies.” “But we can open the box,” said Toad. “That is true,” said Frog.

What if everyone with an old racist family member suddenly went no contact? Let the hateful folks fend for themselves in increasingly aged and irrelevant cohorts. They can mourn the loss family connection, sure that by hating immigrants & harming the poor, they were doing God's work.

Was joking with the IT guy about running hashes and how I'm blocked from using Python internally... then I went to log in and a key got stuck. - He jumped in as I clicked to clear it, "You can hit Ctrl-A to select it all..." Dude... Who knows about cryptographic hashes and Python but not Ctrl-A?

Most of the people that roll their eyes and say, "This could have been an email!" as they leave the meeting, are exactly the people that wouldn't have read the email sent to avoid a meeting. Same folks are likely to complain that no one tells them anything or that no one values their opinion.

"We're slow to acknowledge the knots in our laces."

Frog and Toad went out to fly a kite. They went to a large meadow where the wind was strong. “Our kite will fly up and up,” said Frog. “It will fly all the way up to the top of the sky.”

I don't see a way that we don't end up in a race to make more and better robots/AI for an army to combat another robot/AI army, and we just descend into a mix of wartime production of robots while attempting to thwart increasingly capable drone attacks. Chips to run them are gonna be a big deal.

I am (sort of) just a context specific and spatially aware LLM. I still don't see how they'll replace me yet... and because of my niche and set of interests, I'm guessing I'll be able to automate myself before a general solution is set up and sold that can compete.

It is an uncaring and violent act to set up a meeting for Friday morning. Setting a meeting on Friday afternoon that doesn't involve leaving early and drinks is unforgivable.

Burnout doesn’t always announce itself with a siren. It creeps in like that slow leak in a tire—barely noticeable until you’re dragging your life around on the rim, wondering why everything feels harder than it should.

We’re trained, especially in adulthood, to compartmentalize. Tired is just tired. Frustrated is just today. Apathetic is just a phase. But when you line them up... it’s a different picture.

Good writing is good thinking. When someone takes the time to write with care, it feels like they’re showing up fully—mentally present, precise, and willing to engage. It’s exhausting when that effort feels one-sided.

"Connection doesn’t solve the void—but it defies it."

| You know what? | | Lets go ahead and try to send good vibes his way.

Every now and then I remember my manager from 2 decades ago saying he was a fan of "Dead-Mao-Five" Dude liked to think he knew everything about music. We were talking about EDM and he said it... and I just nodded. I've held it in my brain ever since for my own enjoyment.

What do you do when ChatGPT says that the life situation you just described (your life as objectively as possible) sounds draining and "like death from a thousand paper cuts?"

Doesn't make it a lot better, but it makes it less worse.

Toad knocked at the door. “Hello,” said Frog. “Look at my list of things to do,” said Toad. “Oh,” said Frog, “that is very nice.”

I live with the slight concern that the Arsenio Hall "whoop whoop whoop" may come back.

Pete hegseth always sounds like he’s arguing with the bouncer

How many Scaramuccis will a Hegseth equal? Any bets?

Live. Laugh. Toaster Bath.

Powerful TED talk. Very scary, but a little too big for me to fully grok at this point. www.youtube.com/watch?v=TZOo...

What if religion occurs as smarter people in a society realize that most people are not far from cavemen? What are we gonna do with these lazy people that are scared of shadows and dislike being told what to do? Also, they screw each other a lot, making child ownership and inheritance hard...

The first time I heard the Moby album, I listened to it from the first track to the last, just amazed that it all flowed so beautifully. Another album that I knew nothing about until I saw like 3 people buy it in a row as a Best Buy cashier. Bought it blind, and was not disappointed. Still slaps!

Huh. Weiner on the median...

Brilliant economic analysis by Marcus Hutchins @malwaretech.com

Just remembering how Joe Biden forgiving some student loans was taking the power of the presidency too far.

I love that they replaced the old cigarette with the new one.

Yes, Cory Booker is putting on a *performative show of opposition* to Trump and I think that’s exactly what we need more of right now.

Government by conspiracy theory is going as expected
