The most striking thing about the LA protests is how many people just dropped everything to show up and yell at federal agents. There are people in suits, and carrying dogs, and wearing flip flops or bike helmets. These are not people who planned to do this today. But there they are.

See some folks cleaning their eyes with milk from tear gas. Milk does not help, it is no better than water, plus pouring milk all over your clothes and into your eyes is not the safest or least-disgusting thing you can do. You're gonna be a rotten milk monster walking around soon, use water!

HAPPY PRIDE MONTH

I am navigationally impaired and could get lost even if Jesus were carrying me the whole way.

Happy to report that my inner butt has a clean bill of health.

I'm in two podcasts today! My good friend Anthony invited me on "Listen to the Movie" for a Pride Month discussion of "The Birdcage." Disco! Drag! Toast! We cover it all. >>

Well, layoffs have hit my company thanks to lack of funding for public media and the slowdown of the industry thanks to corporate greed, and now a handful of my friends have lost their jobs. Wish everyone who voted for this nightmare could have all our anxiety attacks downloaded into their brains.

Happy Pride Month to them!

"Trump voters didn't vote for this-" Yes, they did. They may not have understood that's what they were doing, but we warned them explicitly that it would happen. So moving forward, they need to acknowledge we were correct and make an effort NOT TO DO IT AGAIN.

Starting my Pride Month movie watch a day early with "Bound," and I'm jealous of Gina Gershon's jawline.

Alan Alda on his friend and longtime colleague Loretta Swit.

I've spent my Memorial Day reading a book about Richard Hunt, listening to a podcast about Stephen Sondheim, and watching a documentary about Paul Reubens.

As I sat down to read this, "Bein' Green" started playing on the coffeeshop speakers. My favorite Muppets change with my mood and years, but I distinctly remember as a kid feeling drawn to Scooter for some reason, and alternately announcing that either he or Janice was my favorite. >>
