My wife just got the JG Wentworth song wrong. Should I be concerned that this is an early warning sign of dementia?

I guess people need to see the prospect of their own mortality to make smart decisions.

An American Pope? Is this the long awaited sequel to Rob Reiner and Aaron Sorkin’s well received 1995 political romcom?

“We didn’t elect Anthony Fauci, and that makes me angry. So the only appropriate response is to adopt a monarchical system run by unelected billionaire technocrats”

About The Boys

This might be the biggest disappointment of my life.

Please, if you love anything about this life, stop using ChatGPT and other GenAI. Just stop. Don't use it to dunk on it, don't use it for a laugh, just stop and let that shit wither.

For the last 3 yrs, I was the director for the Science of Science program at the NSF. We funded projects on science communication - science communication to the public, communication of public priorities to scientists, citizens engagement & participation in science. 🧵

As the rules teach for my board game group, I usually find it easy to conceptualize a game from the manual. But I’ve had a hard time doing so w/ Molly House. So we threw caution to the wind and played a week. Once it hits the table it all makes so much sense. Looking forward to more plays!

This is incredibly cool: if you search for a condition that’s affected your family, the site returns stats on how much NIH has done for that disease, *and* a contact form for reaching out to tell your Members of Congress why you want to see them defend NIH. Pass it on!

Just finished this book by @scalzi.com It’s a very good book. You should read it. Especially if you despise rich a-holes whose only concern is maximizing their own wealth regardless of the effect it has on others. But why would anyone be inclined to have that attitude right now?
