I told a joke about Medusa but only got a stone-faced response

Tell me about a fictional character death you still haven't gotten over using only pictures.

Bloody hell but we are giving off Master and Doctor vibes respectively in these photos.

A serious question for once. Can anyone recommend a good contemporary introduction to organisational structures, please?

Turns out nobody wants to meet them.

I have a similar joke about Sisyphus, but it's uphill work

Coming in somewhat late to the day because... reasons... and slowly getting the impression I've missed something Not Very Good. Checks news. Holy crapola. Don't they know you're really not supposed to do that? I mean, very specifically *that*?? Against the backdrop of a world gone mad, etc. etc.

The moon rolling down the hill this morning. Taken in Glastonbury about an hour before sunrise.

You’ll be too young to remember, but there was a time when you could wake up as many as three mornings in a row and not find the world had lost its fucking mind.

Shortly before sunrise today on Glastonbury Tor.

Word of the day is ‘fellow-feel’ (verb; 17th-century): to share in the suffering and distress of others.

Have a fabulous Thursday everyone. Taken from Glastonbury Tor yesterday.

Yeah, no, that would suck.

Aw. Part of my 50th b'day celebrations included going en-masse to see Brian Wilson & band playing in Glastonbury Abbey grounds, early August a few years ago - he was clearly struggling with his condition, but very much enjoying himself and accompanied by such a terrific, loving band. Unforgettable.

The light shines when you least expect it. Photo taken at the bottom of Glastonbury Tor this morning. This is one of the Syrens Way markers between Glastonbury and Wells.

Ethereal beauty this morning in Glastonbury. This one was taken on my way back down Glastonbury Tor.

Sunrise from Glastonbury Tor today, looking down over the mist streaming through the trees. A few closer up ones of that mist to follow.

RIP Brian Wilson, an inspiration to us all. Any time your mind needs to take wing, just listen to “Good Vibrations” and “Surf’s Up”. Celebrate the man, mourn the day…

A cartoon from my next book. Physics for Cats will be out in the autumn from @dandq.bsky.social and @canongate.co.uk with other languages coming soon.

Remind me again why we so desperately need to involve this software in every critical aspect of UK society? www.theguardian.com/technology/2...

The Ballad of Wallis Island is a lovely film - a beautifully observed British comedy with some great songs and shot through with a bittersweet poignancy. Brilliant performances all round - especially from Tim Key. Echoes of Withnail and I - it deserves to be a big hit.

In case you needed to hear it: Lived experience cannot be artificially generated. Art is about that and the process and flow of creating art, not just the fully rendered end result. That and more advice from Aaron Blaise:👇🏼 youtube.com/watch?v=dK11...

Aww so cute. It just stood and stared at me. Phone photo in Glastonbury this morning. Not very sharp as I had to zoom right in.

Tuesday. That's what's up.

Some mellow tones for Tuesday. Have a great day and keep being magical 💜#glastonburytor
