A cartoon from my next book. Physics for Cats will be out in the autumn from @dandq.bsky.social and @canongate.co.uk with other languages coming soon.

Remind me again why we so desperately need to involve this software in every critical aspect of UK society? www.theguardian.com/technology/2...

The Ballad of Wallis Island is a lovely film - a beautifully observed British comedy with some great songs and shot through with a bittersweet poignancy. Brilliant performances all round - especially from Tim Key. Echoes of Withnail and I - it deserves to be a big hit.

In case you needed to hear it: Lived experience cannot be artificially generated. Art is about that and the process and flow of creating art, not just the fully rendered end result. That and more advice from Aaron Blaise:👇🏼 youtube.com/watch?v=dK11...

Aww so cute. It just stood and stared at me. Phone photo in Glastonbury this morning. Not very sharp as I had to zoom right in.

Tuesday. That's what's up.

Some mellow tones for Tuesday. Have a great day and keep being magical 💜#glastonburytor

Same.

I have just invented the word "sperb" for people too in a hurry to say "superb."

It's Monday again and today I'm reading Where The Axe Is Buried by Ray Nayler What book(s) are you reading this week? 💙📚 #BookSky #AmReading #MondayReads #TBR

I need awesome T-shirts from sustainable sources. Please advise.

I am starting to think about my stall at Glastonbury Festival now. I will be on site two weeks tomorrow so nothing like leaving things until the last minute. 😂First step, the stall sign. As we all know, I do like the odd sequin or two 😂💎Please come and say hi if you happen to be there.

Eerie and orange. This morning's sunrise from Glastonbury Tor. The strong orange colour was caused by the smoke from the Canadian wildfires.

A phone pic of the sun this morning. Zoomed right in so the surroundings went very dark. It was so red! I believe it's smoke from the Canadian wild fires causing the recent strange sunrises and sunsets.

Smoky sunrise today here in Glastonbury. The sun cleared the horizon and stayed the same shape and brightness until it got quite high in the sky. It took a good hour before it actually got brighter. Photo taken on Glastonbury Tor.

Happy Saturday from Glastonbury. 💙

Nope. Just... nope. ChatGPT excels as Wheedling Liar in surreal discourse of trust and betrayal.

AI might be able to string together a bunch of words and call it a poem, but AI has never had a broken heart or gasped out loud at a sunset or laughed while eating pizza at 3am with their best friend. Writing doesn't spring out of a hat.Every feeling you've ever had or witnessed goes into the work.

“On one test, the hallucination rates of newer A.I. systems were as high as 79 percent.” Well, that’s… useless. www.nytimes.com/2025/05/05/t...
