We just had one of the longest stretches of "no coal" on the Irish grid: over 15 days, from May 27 through June 12 🏭 Winds have been strong for the time of year and both May and June have seen grid carbon intensity drop to all-time lows for these months of the year of around 100gCO₂/kWh.

Horror story from my mum: Friend of her neighbour moved into a new build house before Christmas and liked it but the smell of paint wasn't going away and energy bills were high. Neighbour went round and got a plumber round to look. Lads - none of the joints on the gas pipes were soldered. None.
