I enjoy reading (sci-fy, horror, thriller, fantasy, suspense) and playing videogames (single player, story rich, action, RPG, cozy, FPS, third person). ASD Advocate In my opinion...

I usually keep track of how much of a book I read daily, 15%, 30%, but from time to time comes a book that it's so good that I totally forget to keep track. Enter @chuckwendig.bsky.social's The Staircase in the Woods. I got totally lost in the story and the characters. 5 out of 5 #booksky #books

Time to start another game. I think I'll give Grim Dawn another go. I played it a couple of years ago, but I didn't finish it. My only issue with the game were the difficulty spikes with some bosses and areas. I'll try using a build guide, maybe that'll make it easier #videogames #gamingsky #steam

Finished Ghostwire: Tokio last night. For an open world game, it was fun. A lot of stuff to discover and collect. The combat was somewhat easy. The story was catching and entertaining. 7.5 out of 10. It was quite the departure from their previous works (The Evil Within 1 & 2) #gamingsky #videogames

When the Wolf Comes Home is one magnificent book. I really liked it. It was captivating from start to finish. The pacing was excellent, and the character felt real. I read the novella "Rest Stop" by @natcassidy.bsky.social and when I saw this book releasing, I knew I needed to get it. #booksky #book

Death of a Unicorn is a good movie. In my opinion is a horror comedy in the vein of Cocaine Bear. All the characters are extremely caricaturized lightening the tone of the horror aspect of the movie. It didn't take itself too seriously. Will Poulter was great. #filmsky #movies

I completed Hunted the Demon's Forge. A quintessential Xbox360/PS3 era game. It was an entertaining experience. Very clearly a 2010's game. The color palette and the gameplay are notably dated but it wasn't a determent. Very different from other inXile's games but still fun #gamingsky #steam #gaming

Two truly amazing books by @alexgrecian.bsky.social. I read Red Rabbit last year and I couldn't wait to get my hands on Rose of Jericho as soon as it came out. I liked the characters, storytelling and worldbuilding in general. had a great time reading these two. #booksky #books

Middle grade horror is such an interesting genre. As an English teacher in a Spanish-speaking country, I usually recommend this kind of book when asked about what to read. Scary stuff is timeless, and it always hit that spot in our brains that crave that little jolt of adrenaline #booksky #books.

I've been playing Night in the Woods for the las few days. I recently rolled credits. It was a nice experience, not much of a "game". It is one of those game you need multiple runs to get the full story and get to know all the characters.MAybe some day I'll revisit Night in the Woods. #gamingsky

The Maid's Secret by Nita Prose was a quite entertaining follow up to The Mystery Guest in the Molly the Maid series. I really like the main character and the rest of the cast. It was a bit light on the mystery front, but there was a lot of character development and backstory. #booksky #books

The English word 'much' and its Spanish equivalent 'mucho' are etymologically unrelated.

I like #DoctorWho, I watched from Eccleston to Capaldi without missing an episode. This latest incarnation though... It isn't Ncuti Gatwa fault, but they keep crying in every single episode. I don't remember the previous doctors shedding tears so often. Maybe I missed something skipping Whittaker.

Finished "Cold Eternity" by S. A. Barnes. I didn't find it as good as her previous works, but it was still a good read. It takes a while to get started but after the midpoint it was firing on all cylinders. I'm all in on Sci-fi space horror. #booksky #books

It's my birthday today.

I've been playing Bound by Flame, a 2014 game by Spiders. Sadly, I won't be able to finish it. It keeps crashing on act 3 chapter 1 when I try to get to the makeshift camp. I've tried everything to make it work, but it's just not cooperating. #videogames #gamingsky #steam #pcgaming

Finished Contrast, a bite-size game. Sometimes, quite frustrating, but enjoyable nonetheless. The camera was a bit awkward, and the controls were clunky, but the light and shadow puzzles were fun and challenging. For a 2013 game I think it barely holds up. #videogames #steam #CompulsionGames

John Scalzi has provided once again a banger with "When the Moon Hits Your Eye". great book, great characters, great story. I liked it very much. It has the energy characteristic of Scalzi's previous books. It will definitely go in my top ten of the year. #booksky #books

I've been playing a lot of The Division; it was hard at first, but after farming last week GE I've got a pretty decent build. Still not used to running mission with other people but it's viable to play solo. Still, 96 hours it's a bit too much. I need to play some other game #videogames #gamingsky

I watched "The Electric State" and I can only say it is a Saturday afternoon movie. A cast full of great names, but the execution was really poor. It a good movie if you are looking for something to have in the background while you scroll your phone or do chores. #filmsky #movies #Netflix

I've put almost 70 hours in #TheDivision and even though I'm enjoying it I find it difficult to play with others. How do you meet people to play games with? It's already difficult to meet people in person, meeting people online seem equally hard. Being on the spectrum doesn't help either. #gamingsky

A few days ago, I finished "The Way Up is Death" by @danhanks.bsky.social . I really liked the book. The main antagonist a bit cartoonish, but apart from that, everything was well executed. "Swashbucklers" was ok, so I didn't know if I was going to like this. I was pleasantly surprised. #booksky

This week I've been playing #TheDivision. For 9-year-old game is still quite fun. I mostly play single player games even though I've tried some online games, #Destiny and #Warframe but none has stuck. I'd love to find people to play the game with, in order to try the end-game content. #gamingsky

My third book by author @edashtonwriting.bsky.social The Fourth Consort is not what I was expecting. I liked Mickey 17 and Antimatter Blues better. I'm not saying it was bad, just different. I would like to keep reading books by this author. They scratch a very specific sci-fi itch. #booksky

Watched #Companion. A good movie ruined by its trailer. It wasn't like a major spoiler, but it ruined some of the fun. Jack Quaid's character representing the worst of the worst in term of and fragile masculinity. Sophie Thatcher was excellent. I need more movies like this. #filmsky

Finished Victor Vran main campaign and Mötorhead DLC, that's enough ARPG for now. I had a good time with the game, better with the DLC. My next game will be GRIS. I've heard it's an emotional ride and I'm all for it. Haven't play a 2d platformer in quite a while. #videogames #gamingsky

I've been playing Victor Vran on #Steam. It's an okayish game for an ARPG, light on the RPG front, you can only change between a few kinds of weapons that you could say change your playstyle, but still an enjoyable action game overall. I'm interested in the Mótorhead DLC #videogames #gamingsky

Finished the second book in the Ben Koenig series. It was not as good as the first one. That doesn't mean it was not good overall. It was still a thrilling ride full of twist and turns. I just felt that everything was way bigger in an unnecessary way. #booksky #books

I knew #Reacher season 3 was coming out soon, so I was looking to read something in the same vein as the Jack Reacher series. I picked up "Fearless" by M.W. Craven and I was not disappointed. A gripping thriller all the way through. I can't wait to read book 2, Nobody's Hero. #booksky #books

That's a wrap on The Surge; 40 hours play time. A great souls-like game, not as infuriating like Dark Souls 1 but if you like that type of game, you should consider playing it. Cutting limbs in order to upgrade armor and weapons was a cool touch. #videogames #gamingsky

I regularly listen to @jasonschreier.bsky.social 's Triple Click and the @friendspersecond.bsky.social podcasts. Both had quite different takes on #Avowed. In the end I'll try it myself but is always good to listen to different opinions before voting with your wallet. I hope they keep the good work.

@delilahsdawson.bsky.social has become one of my favorite writers. I started reading her horror middle grade books, Mine and Camp Scare. I graduated to her adult novels with The Violence and Midnight at the Houdini and her last book, It Will Only Hurt for a Moment is an amazing read. #booksky #books

I've just watched The Gorge on Apple TV+, good movie, it was entertaining. 127 minutes of fun for a survival, horror and a little bit of romance movie. I went with low expectations and came out pleasantly surprised. Miles and Anya are both great. #moviesky #movies #AppleTV+ #TheGorge
