It's getting a bit old to keep talking about constant climate disasters when nothing is getting done. Record floods in QLD and NSW. Droughts in SA and WA. www.abc.net.au/news/2025-05...

Today in things I didn't know were different in Australia. I kept getting asked who they were marrying.

Our developmental pediatric clinic has already had multiple families cancel appointments for autism evaluations due to fears of their children ending up in this database. 😞

Well there it is. To do right by the shareholders of a healthcare company, it must pursue “aggressive, anti-consumer tactics.” If you didn’t know private insurance was the enemy, they sure did.

It really is this simple. #TransRightsAreHumanRights

Hey @glaucomflecken.bsky.social I'm not sure how to process this. Can Jimothy help? www.nbcnews.com/business/bus...

A Second Child Dies of #Measles in Texas. It's the second confirmed measles death in the U.S. in a decade. If the outbreak continues at the current pace, the nation may lose its “elimination” status, by @teddyrosenbluth.bsky.social www.nytimes.com/2025/04/06/h... via @nytimes.com #vaccination

Today in "news a ton of people aren't aware of." There are communities cut off. The loss of livestock is well over 6 figures. If the flooding in outback Australia were a country, it would be the world’s 31st largest. www.theguardian.com/australia-ne...

It’s 9am TFT time here, and citizens are already gathering to protest Tariffs by the United States. Our plain clothes Officer Penguins are attempting to maintain calm, but unfortunately we keep losing them in the crowd.

Ahhhh...hello....there is an election coming up..... bit of climate policy may be worth chatting about!! #auspol www.theguardian.com/environment/...

You are far more likely to permanently damage the spinal cord by allowing hypoxia and hypotension than you are by moving the patient. -Katie's second law

PSA: Always remember to regularly check your spam folder for inadvertently sent US attack plans.

“Wait guys, P. Hegseth is typing…”

Adding a journalist to a top secret government group chat about dropping bombs *IS* the kind of thing people who aren’t super politically literate can understand and find shocking/notable/disqualifying. Dems should seize on this and never ever let it go. I hope to hear about it in a decade

Somewhere a US Army counterintelligence agent is having a minor breakdown over how he has a perfect new casestudy for his annual OPSEC brief but he won't be able to use it for at least four years.

EMS / HEMS / prehospital EM Folks..Any protocol for noradrenaline infusion (without an infusion pump) in the prehospital setting? @cliffreid.bsky.social @ebmgonewild.bsky.social @sjtrem.bsky.social @stemlyns.bsky.social @emmanchester.bsky.social

lol when someone casually asks how I’m doing and I tell them 🥴

Looking at my home country from afar, with a time differential is surreal. I'm sad for what is happening, and sad for my friends who keep reaching out in anguish. It's times like this that I'm reminded of a regular saying by my dad. I'd rather be lucky than good.

I paid a lot of money for lasers to make my vision better and I struggle with this font. I can't imagine how hard it is going to be for people slightly older.

All this kit, and we still are required, by law, to carry that little first aid pouch you can just see on the pilot's seat.

What do HEMS pilots say as they're going into a cloud? A couple bumps.

Microskills that you won't have time to think about. If you've got a severe bend in the bougie, it puts the tip of the ETT hanging out there to get caught on things. www.bjanaesthesia.org.uk/article/S000...

By the time I finished residency, I was so good at lumbar punctures. Squeezing down on a crying infants head and pushing them into a ball and then slipping in the spinal needle. On a typical admission night I might do 2 or 3. All gone now. I haven’t done one in years. They want to bring this back.

Doctor you need to alter the calling criteria or the floor won't take the patient. Doctor you altered the calling criteria and then they called a medical review and gave amlodipine but you've been written up.
