It is hardly surprisingly how many people’s political ideology is basically ”Things I don’t like should be illegal.” What is surprising, and profoundly irritating, is how many of those people hold high office.

Doesn't demanding "unconditional surrender" rather require that there is a war first? Not to get all pedantic or anything...

The degree to which the consumer tech/software industries have avoided any responsibility or liability for bad products is staggering. It’s a default so pervasive it is difficult to notice, let alone address. Incredibly market distorting too - all externalities, no limit.

I look forward to the day when the GOP decides that Trump was really a Democrat after all, and so everything bad can be blamed on liberal progressive socialist communist antra fascists.

Dear corporate America - sending auto-generated “Happy Father’s Day” text messages does not endear dads to your company. It annoys them. Please. For all that is holy. Stop.

For my sins, I am forced to watch the parade on Fox with my in-laws. Holy cow. The servile, vapid, fawning is … I know they have lots of practice, but good gravy.

"War may sometimes be a necessary evil. But no matter how necessary, it is always an evil, never a good." - Pres. Carter. All too often, the powerful suffer least, risk nothing, and gain the most. The powerless are the ones that suffer. Regardless of politics, creed, or nation. (1/3)

One of the more baffling aspects of the current situation in the US is how stupid it is. There’s no “brilliant master plan” - just a bunch of egotistical idiot chuckleheads stumbling around with no idea what they are doing. And they ain’t the first. Worryingly.

IMPORTANT: Stop calling the troops in LA National Guard Troops. They are not. When Trump activated them against the wishes of the Gov they became FEDERAL troops… like the 82nd airborne with no Law enforcement power! Don’t let them confuse you!

The Roman Republic had an idea that is worth remembering - mos maiorum. These were the unwritten rules that guided how their government worked. The things you did (or did not) do because they made the system work. 1/6

Impressive. Can see Covid and the Great Leap Forward. I wonder what the two little bumps after are?
